Key:

(Y/N): Your name, (H/C): Hair color, (E/C): Eye Color, (F/C): Favorite Color, (F/FD): Favorite Food, (H/L): Hair length,

(A/N: Your character is human in this story and your soul is whatever color you want it to be. Since this is the Pacifist Version, the human who goes to the Underground before you is Frisk and Frisk will be female. In the Genocide Version, it will be Chara who will be male. I know they're gender neutral but I like to see Frisk as a girl and Chara as a boy. Finally, an asterisk * will indicate that the sentence will change in the Genocide version.)

Once upon a time, in a small village near Mt. Ebott lived (Y/N) and their family. Each night, your father would tell you stories of a mysterious cave deep in the heart of the mountain and how your ancestors fought valiantly against the monsters causing them to flee underground. Every time you heard this story, your (E/C) would light up and a wave curiosity hit you like an illness. *You were also told of humans going into the mountain and never coming back, except for one...a little girl named Frisk*. *Frisk was able to befriend the monsters of the underground and they were more than willing to help her get back home*. Despite this fact, the humans were still bitter towards the monster and would try their hardest to prevent humans from attempting to access the underground.

One day, you decided to scale Mt. Ebott in search for this cave since today was one of the more perfect days to do so. It was winter time, and patrolling the mountain was too dangerous due to the weather. But you liked danger, so it wasn't much of an issue for you. Putting on the warmest clothing you had, you snuck out of your home and quickly made your way to the mountain. Climbing diligently, you carefully made you way to where the cave was. The climb was steep, and the temperature was dropping which forced you to pick up speed until you finally reached the cave. Not knowing how much time you spent climbing, you breathed a sigh of relief and looked around. The cave had a very dense energy and was dark, making hard to see what was around you. Wandering around the cave, you tripped and fell into the darkness...

You woke up in a bed of (F/C) flowers, sore but not badly injured. *Your heart started pound and a huge smile came across your face.* You found it, the Underground. Looking around, you figured that the only way to go was east. *As you walked around different creatures approached you shyly*. *Their eyes filled with wonder and curiosity, but some would whisper to each other as if not sure what to think.* "Oh my!" a female voice rang through the rock halls, "Are you alright?" You looked up, there was a feminine monster with white fur and two small horns. She dawned a purple robe with an odd symbol on it. "Yes," you replied, "I'm a little shaken but not too bad." "Alright, are you sure?" the woman asked, "What is your name?" "I'm (Y/N)." you replied once again. The monster was silent for a brief moment before a smile streaked across her face. "Oh! You humans have the most interesting names, I must say so! I am Toriel, it's great to meet you! Here, follow me. I shall take you to my home." You nodded and followed Toriel without any hesitation.

The home was very cozy, much like your home on the surface. "(Y/N)," Toriel lead you into the living room, "Before I can answer any questions you have. I want to introduce you to my family. This is my son, Asriel and my husband is out on business." You formally introduce yourselves, and Toriel answers any questions you have on the Underground. You learn that after the last human, no one has ever returned to the Underground. You were the first human to visit in a span of years, and if you were willing to go home you were talk to Toriel's husband named Asgore. In order to do that you had to pass through Snowdin Town, into Waterfall, then through Hotland to get to the castle. Toriel left the end of the ruins open for any occasion like this one. You stayed the night in the guest room, where Toriel and Asriel slipped you a piece of butterscotch cinnamon pie. That night, you contemplated on whether you should go home or explore the underground fully.
