when we get to my uncles house, i can already see my mother's car in the drive way. same with Gabby's and a few others that I'm not all that familiar with. I'm guessing they're friends. Before i can open the door for myself, Jasper is walking over to my side and already opening it for me, holding out a hand that i quickly place mine in.
"what do you think is going to happen?" I whisper my question in his ear, just in case some one over hears us.
"not sure babe, but stay close. Gaberiel's here."
Hearing his name i feel my back stiffen while we walk. Not even knocking on the door, Jasper opens the door, holds my hand and lets me walk in first. As soon as i walk through the door way, I'm quickly wrapped up in my mothers familiar arms. Feeling her worry and love wrap me up in that protective blanket, I sigh and relax into her arms.
"where have you been young lady! i have been worried sick! trying to call you and asking your uncle, Never! and i mean never do that to me again Abigail." my mother try's to scold me while pulling back, but i just keep her close to me, never loosening my grip from around her.
"I'm sorry mommy. really..I'm so sorry." not really noticing how much i needed her these few days, i feel as all my emotions fluid to the surface and see as the tears fill my eyes. When she pulls back enough to see my eyes she, "oh sweaty's" me and pulls me close to her again.
I guess we stay like that for a while because someone clears their throat. we both lean away from each other and i see, behind my mother, in the huge door way is the man Ive been dreading to see again. So instead of looking over at him, i walk over to Jasper, grab his hand and pull him in the direction of my mother. Walking over to her with a small smile, she looks between me and Jasper with a curious gaze.
"mom. This is Jasper. He's been looking after me while i was away." I lie to her, and when i hear a growl i know that my lie has been noticed.
"oh, well hello Jasper, I'm Abigail's mother, Jane."
" Mrs. Deene." Jasper responds with the nod of his head.
"wait, you look familiar, who are your parents sweaty?"
"Arin and Kathy Barros."
"oh yes! i know them! how is Kathy? still stressing over your little sister?"
Jasper just chuckles and nods his head. "yea, but shes five now, so its getting better."
Looking up at Jasper i feel my eyebrows scrunch with this new information.
"oh how sweet! I'll have to get together with her sometime."
"you should, she needs the company, since dad is working allot more now."
Their conversation continues to go on like that for a while longer, but since they don't really seem to be ceasing from talking anytime soon, i excuse my self to go into the kitchen and find something to drink.
Opening the fridge, I pull out a bottle of water but accidental drop it while closing the door, when i bend over to pick it up i feel two very large hands get placed on my hips and tingles explode. Grinning i stand back up and turn around, thinking that ill see Jasper. But when i see Gabriel, my grin falls and the panic sprouts.
"you left my house very early darling, I was cooking you some food."
feeling the frown and glare set into place i pull out of his grip and walk around him, when i look down the hall and see no one there i turn around and move the door stopper so the swinging door closes.
"and how exactly did you find out i left early?" I ask with an attitude.
"one of my brothers informed me." His lie slips easily off his lips.
