"Ma'am, we are doing everything we can."
"It's not enough until she is home!" I screamed to the officer.
"This search has been going non stop for 2 weeks," he sighed, "I am afraid according to our policies, we are forced to drop the case if no new evidence is found in the next week. I am very sorry ma'am."
"NO! I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS!"
"Ma'am, please, there's no need to yell."
I took a deep breath and sat back down in my chair, for I had risen when I heard of this horrible "policy".
"You right," I said as calm as I could," but please, PLEASE, do everything in your power to get her home."
"Of course ma'am."
"Well then I better be off then." I grabbed my coat and walked out of the station and back into the rain.
