A/N: This story takes place in Reader-chan's POV and starts off after the death of Rin and Yuiko's father. The story will basically be covering almost all the episodes of Au No Exorcist, so it will include spoilers to the actually anime, please keep that in mind before reading. Enjoy~!

I frowned, reading over the letter Yukio had sent me a few weeks ago. He's dead... I can hardly believe it, but I know Yukio wouldn't lie to me about something this serious... Or even anything without good reason. Sighing, I stuffed the letter in my suitcase, finishing up with all the packing I had just done.

I've known Rin and Yukio for a long time now... I believe we were two or three when we first met. They were my first friends I've ever had. I grew up with them and I've known Shiro, their father, for as long as I've known them. He was kinda like a second dad to me... Especially when my own parents pasted away in a serious car crash. When I first got the letter I didn't believe a single word... But slowly it sank in and then the waterworks went off... They didn't stop for a whole week. I now felt depressed more then ever... And I could only imagine how Rin and Yukio feel...

However, I couldn't help but have a feeling that what Yukio told me in the letter wasn't... Exactly true. I mean, it's reasonable. A truck did actually run into the church, but I don't know if Shiro was killed by it... I felt as if there was something more to his death... But that was just my depression talking, right?

I huffed, zipping up the suitcase and walking out of my apartment, making sure to lock the door behind me before I left. The plan was to meet up with Yukio at True Cross Academy, before all this happened with Shiro. I planned on becoming an exorcist. The reason why? Well, I guess you could say I blame demons for my parents death. There's no real proof though. I wasn't in the car when it crashed... I was with Rin and Yukio that night. But I can't help but shake the feeling that their death wasn't just a simple car accident. There's no way in hell it was...

I smiled softly, wondering how the two twins are doing. I haven't seen them in years... After the death of my parents. I had to move into my new foster parents home, which was 6 hours away from where they lived... The last time I saw them was when we were 12...  I still can't believe it's been 3 years.

Once I got in the taxi, I took a seat in the back and let out a long sigh, telling the man where I'd like him to drive me. He was surprised that I wanted to take a taxi for a 6 hour drive... But meh, I had no other choice really, my foster parents weren't really... Nice enough to drive me there themselves. And I did have a job to pay for it.

"Are you sure miss?" The taxi driver asked, giving me a look of surprise.

"Positive." I replied, giving him a weak smile.

"Alright then. I hope you know how much this will cost you." He said, starting up the car and driving towards my destination.

I only nodded, being that I wasn't a very social person. I was quiet shy, actually. I found myself drifting off into sleep after 3 hours of driving. After all, I did leave here around 3:30 in the damn morning. I might as well catch up on some sleep.

I woke up with the sound of the taxi drivers voice. "Miss, we've arrived." He said, making my eyes snap open to see the taxi was parked on the side of the road, right in front of True Cross Academy. I felt my face heat up. Okay, maybe sleeping in a taxi wasn't such a good idea...

"Oh, sorry! Thanks so much! Here." I said, handing him the correct amount of money, which was a crap ton.

The man quickly counted it and smiled. "Thanks for your service!" He said, opening the trunk of the car. I nodded and opened to car door walking out, wincing at the sunlight as I did. I quickly grabbed my suitcase and closed the trunk waving the man a friendly good bye before he drove off.
