Not Alone by Darkness
All alone in the night
The haunting predator comes to play
I run and hide for my life, but on and on it goes
Nothing stops it
The silence is loud, my breathing quickens
I hide places, I wouldn't go before
Behind a tree
In a cave
Where else could I go, that the predator wouldn't follow?
Still, it follows me
Wherever I go, I'm not alone
Running and hiding in the night
Till dawn brings me peace
Alone again
No dark predictor in sight
Coming for me now
Peace fills my heart a second time
Till another sun falls and a moon takes its place
Will I never know the peace at night, that I do in the days
Will I never be alone in the darkness?
