Warning: lemony stuff. ;)

“Talk…? About what?” her voice still sounded small, especially since he was looking sharply at her. If he just looked away, it would be easier for her, but noooooo, him and that black eye of his…
Not answering her question, Sasuke rose up from his seat slowly, stretching his tall frame to full height. He had gotten so tall… There was a time, years earlier, when they were practically the same height but those years were long gone now. He was tall enough to make her neck ache just to look up at him.
‘I need to buy heels,’ she thought idly only to flinch at the sound of her name once again.
“W-what?” there she goes again. During her inner musings, Sasuke had apparently been talking to her and she had been ignoring him. In s matter of seconds he had said an entire unheard sentence and came to stand just a mere foot from her.
“You weren’t listening.” It wasn’t a question, but a flat statement of a fact.
“I’m sorry,” she avoided his sharp accusing gaze, “it must be the stress. What were you saying?”
Her voice, was thankfully stronger and more confident as long as she didn’t look directly at him.
“I said that we need to talk, but we can’t do it here.”
“Oh.”
'Smart response, Sakura. Real smooth.’
“So where…?” she let her voice trail off, allowing herself to look quickly at him, questioningly.
“The study.”
**********
Unsurprisingly, the study, as Sasuke called it, was nearly baren. It only had a desk and a seat. She couldn’t even call it a 'study’. Only one single widow without a curtain allowed pale grey light into the room, adding to its empty quality.
'He’s only been here for a month. What can I expect?’
“I’m very bad with words.”
Her brows shot up at Sasuke’s sudden blurted confession. Her heart beat raced, wondering if maybe, just maybe, he was going to bring 'it’ up. Did he remember?
Looking back her impassively, Sasuke didn’t give her a single hint of what he was thinking, like always. She was so intent in reading his expression that she didn’t notice the obvious tension on his wide shoulders or how his hands fisted at his sides in discomfort.
“You don’t have to force yourself to say anything, Sasuke-kun,” she gave him a small encouraging smile while inwardly screaming that YES he had to say SOMETHING at least.
'No rush. I know how he is. He really doesn’t like talking about such things. It seems to pain him, to do it.’
“I…,” his lips closed and thinned as he finally stopped looking at her, much to her relief.
“I like more action than words, Sakura,” that sharp black orb that haunted her met hers so abruptly, it felt as if all oxygen was knocked from her chest.
'What is he trying to say-Ah!’
She didn’t have time to cry out in surprise when his lips met hers. He didn’t grab her forcefully, just clumsily smashed his tense lips on her slightly open ones.
'He’s kissing me…?’
A bubble of giddiness and panic had her eyes widen. She didn’t know how to react! It was actually the first time she’d been kissed like this. The CPR with Naruto didn’t count since he had been out and had needed her help. A mouth to mouth resucitation isn’t a 'kiss’ that she could call 'experience’ for this sort of thing.

FanfictionSasuke sometimes cannot express himself in words. One of my tumblr fanfics. This was written months before it was confirmed that Sasuke doesn't have two arms, so the activists can chill.
