Seal yawned. The tiny hollow he slept in could use some cleaning..."Nah, I'll do it another day." Seal murmured to himself. Stretching, he crawled out of the hollow, blinking in the bright sunlight. Seabreeze was nagging Frostcloud to practice her ice magic more, and Frostcloud was completely ignoring him. Blaze seemed to be bouncing off the walls of the chasm they lived in, enthusiastically burning any plants or insects into tiny piles of ash. Other than the fact that Blaze wasn't following Frostcloud's lead EXACTLY, it was a typical spring morning.
"Why are you only awake NOW?!" Seabreeze hissed at Seal. "It's nearly noon!" "I'm awake now, aren't I?" Seal smacked his lips. "Having said that, I could eat." Seabreeze growled, fed up with Seal. "SEAL! WE HAVE TO FOCUS OUR MAGIC IN ORDER TO DISCOVER OUR MA-" Seabreeze was interrupted by loud, fake snoring. Seal stopped his imitation of sleep to glare at Seabreeze. "Or maybe we could do something INTERESTING today! How about that?" Seabreeze rolled his eyes. "Like what?" "I propose," Seal said, closing his eyes."a nap." Then he began to actually sleep. Angrily, Seabreeze rolled Seal over with a slight gust. "YOU JUST WOKE UP!" Seal blasted a geyser of water underneath him so powerful he looked like Old Faithful. He landed with a thud. "God, Breezy, you don't have to yowl in my ears..." "YES I DO! AND STOP CALLING ME THAT!!!"
Seal turned and shot Seabreeze away from him with a powerful wave. Seabreeze dodged it and tossed Seal back and forth with large gusts of wind. Then Seabreeze caught Seal in a tornado, gently setting him on the ground. In seconds, Seal collapsed, dizzy from the fight. "Say you're sorry." Seabreeze demanded. "I-I'm..."
"talking to you! Breezy! Seal to Breezy!" Seal called. Seabreeze slightly shook himself. Too bad it had only been a daydream. He wished he was powerful enough to beat Seal, much less any of the Wanderers. "BREEZY!" "GAH! Don't...call me that! EVER!" Seabreeze gasped angrily. "Okaaaaaaaaaay..." Seal drawled, heading for the slope that led to the surface. "...Breezy." Seal bolted for the exit, Seabreeze on his tail.
Blaze sat down next to Frostcloud. She looked over and scowled. Blaze scooted slightly closer. Frostcloud looked at him funny and scooted away. Blaze scooted even closer. She hissed and walked away. Blaze stared at his paws. Better luck next time.
