"I love you Aria"
"I love you too Derek"
I was happily dreaming until some monster awoke me from my beauty sleep.
"Aria wake up it's your birthday!"
Oh. It's Derek.
I opened my eyes to Derek shaking me.
"What do you w-" I couldn't finish what I was saying before Derek kissed me.
Fuck. What if I have bad morning breath? Wait, I already know I do. Ugh he probably thinks I'm stupid not responding to the kiss, so time to start. I started kissing him back.
He pulled away with a grin on his face. "You're a horrible kisser Aria"
"Wow gee, thanks. At least I'm not the one with horrible timing"
"What?"
"You kissed me right when I woke up Derek of course I'm gonna be bad at kissing if I'm tired"
"Oh.. right.... Anyway, Happy Birthday"
Yeah, my birthday, December 20th. Five days from Christmas. Now I'm 18. Heh, great. UGH
"Thanks"
"No problem sleepyhead. Now wake up, get ready, and c'mon"
"No let me sleep for a little longer"
"I won't let you" And with that, he picked me up and put me on the floor.
"Whatever I'll just sleep on the floor then"
"Noooo come on Aria get up or else I'll make you"
"No dork let me sleep for a bit longer"
"Fine, you made me do this" , HE POURED COLD WATER ON ME. I glared at him, and it was at that moment, Derek knew he had fucked up.
"Derek you just made the biggest mistake of your life"
"Oh shit" He started going towards the window but I beat him there.
"Nope. You're not getting away" I tackled him to the floor and got the cold water on him. He was soaking wet, I couldn't stop laughing. Then, he rolled over so that he was on top of me. Great. Yes, please let this guy on top of me to do what I already know he's going to do. Tickle me. I made the greatest decision to let my guard down at this moment. Such smart much wow.
He started tickling me. Ah yes, I would like to call this Hell #2, Hell #1 is reserved for school.
"Derek stop" I screamed.
"Fine" , he rolled off me and just laid down next to me. It was cold and I didn't want to get my blankets or bed wet so I put my head on his chest and cuddled with him.
"I'm cold"
"I know, I am too"
I soon fell asleep again, to the sound of his heartbeat.

I woke up still on the floor next to Derek. I checked the time and it was noon. I got up and headed downstairs where I was greeted by my mom, her boyfriend, and my two brothers all eating breakfast.
Shit. They probably heard me and Derek earlier. Oh well.
"Happy Birthday!" they all exclaimed.
"We were going to wake you up but um you looked real comfortable with Derek.." my mom said.
My face turned as red as a tomato.
"Uhhhh"
"It's okay we aren't mad" thank god. "But try not to be as loud when you two are...."
"MOM oh my gosh no we did not do that dear lord"
"Good"
