Caribbean Sea — 1700

"Dear Caitlin,

Felicity has taken a liking to the seashe is even barking orders to the crew like a cap'in! I fear by time she is thirteen, she is going to be sharp tongued and such - getting in trouble because of guards.
Despite her only being eight, she is strong hearted. Open minded. She has even gotten herself a pirates mouth, already! And no, I am not talkin' 'bout cursing at others, either.
In another few years, I am gonna drop by Havana to see youfor Felicity to see you.
I hope yer doin' good.

Take care, Caitlin.

Edward (Blackbeard) Thatch"

Ed sigh gruffly as he sat in his quarters, reading over the letter he has written to Felicity's mother. He was going to mail it once the ship got to Nassau – if it got to Nassau within a day.

Not soon after, Ed heard the door of his quarters squeal open, a tiny figure being revealed. "Daddy?" A small voice asked. It was dark, so Ed had wondered why it was that Felicity had left her quarters. She had always been afraid of the dark. "Yea, kiddo?" He asked hoarsely. The girl stiff led a yawn as she slowly walked over to him, stumbling.
"I can't sleep..."
"I can see that. Why?" Ed looked down at the dark haired girl that now stood before him. A small shrug was able to be seen in the dim light, making it so Ed groaned softly. "Do ye wanna hear a story?"

That got her attention.

"What story, daddy?" Felicity had a small smile on her face that only grew as he said: "The story of how yer mother and I met." After Felicity nodding, Ed picked her up and put her on his lap, and began to unfold the small story on how he had met Caitlin.
