The waves rolled over the deep blue
Lightning bolts cackled at the sky
Dark evil pure
I looked ahead to the bright blue sky
Wondering when this storm would be over
I continued my journey across the treacherous waves
I could hear the wind singing in my ear
almost there, almost there
I closed my eyes
Opened-clear mind cannot
no will not
lose
to this battle of darkness

the sound surrounded me
protected me
from the outside
It knew where to find me
when I was lost
thump thump thump
went the sound
I was safe
Whenever I was in danger
I heard the sound
thump thump thump
until one day it stopped
no more thump thump thump
that's when I knew
I was never safe
