Fairies often steel babies or children and then raise them as there own. when they take a child, they leave a baby fairy. The little fairy they leave are called changelings. Changelings cause a lot of trouble for the parents of the stolen babies, like coloring on the walls, crying all night long, breaking vases and other mayhem as they grow up. But some changelings are more intense then the others, more gruesome. a new "bread" of changelings was created called Mar. the definition of mar is to damage or spoil something to a certain extent, mar is also a synonyme for mutilation. These kinds of changelings cause mischief by mutilating themselves. As disgusting as that sounds it can be quite artistique, they dont just cut lines on there arms, they usually draw leaf and flower patterns on their thighs, neck, shins but almost never the arms. The first Mar ever created was placed in a suburban household, she was pretty much an experiment, to see how the mar bread would act. To there surprise the mar did not cry, did not crash into vases or color on the walls, she was even considered a good and quiet child until the age of 4. the 4th year was when she found razors.
