Khayman POV

"What'd she say?" My best friend Ronnie asks when I get back to the group.

"No?" I say it more as a question.

"What?" He asks surprised as well. I nod not knowing what to say. I've never noticed her until I bumped into her earlier. She has super long blonde hair and blue eyes. She also has an attitude which I find attractive.

"I know, I'm surprised too." I say.

"Maybe you lost your touch." He jokes nudging me with his elbow.

"Yeah, don't joke about that." I deadpanned.

----

I was sitting in third period Biology, dying of boredom, when she walked in. The girl from earlier, the only girl in the world who would've turned me down. Immediately, I sat up in my seat.

"I got sent here by Mr. Rossi." She says handing my teacher, Mrs. Carmicheal a pass.

"This is the 2nd time this week, Kendall. You cant sit in my desk today, so you're gonna have to sit next to Khayman." Mrs. Carmicheal says, pointing over to me. Kendall, looks over and immediately her shoulders slumped.

"Cant I sit on the floor?" Kendall asks, sounding ... desperate. Does she really not like me?

"Sorry." Mrs. Carmicheael shrugs. Kendall slumps and walks over to me. She sits down harshly and her vanilla and cherry scented perfume washed over me. She looks over at me, snarls, and then plugs in her earphones.

"Mr. Burton." Someone calls. I snap my head towards the teacher and she's glaring at me. "Is there something about Kendall's face that's so interesting?"

"No Ma'am."

She gives me one last look, before turning back to the board. I look back at Kendall to see her texting furiously on her phone. I look over her shoulder and see that she was texting someone named, Taylor.

Kendall looks up and catches me being nosy. She scoots the desk away from me and moves her body to block my view of her phone.

I'm going to make this, beautiful girl fall for me.

----

After school, I was sitting outside the school building with my boys just watching everyone else leave.

"Any luck?" My buddy, Dylan, asks me.

I shake my head and he and Ronnie start snickering.

"Shut the fuck up." I groan. I look back out to everyone and see Kendall getting into a silver Nissan with one of her friends.

"She is hot, maybe I should give it a try." Dylan comments, looking over at Kendall.

"Please don't." I groan.

"Stop whining dude, she doesn't even like you."

"She will."

----

KENDALL POV

"Can you please just let it go?" I groan to Taylor. I'm giving her a ride home and this is the thanks I get, her pestering me about Khayman.

"I just can't wrap my head around it, it doesn't make sense. The dance is in 2 weeks and you don't have a date, you haven't had a date to any dance all your life. It's your Senior year, why don't you live a little Ken." She begs.

"Ok fine, I'll live a little but not with him. I don't know what it is I just don't like him. I mean yeah he's cute or whatever but he's with a new girl every day and I'll be damned if I'm one of those girls." I explain.

"Fine, have it your way."

"I will!"

After dropping Taylor off, I decide to go to the store and buy something to eat before I start my homework. I go to the corner store by my house that everyone from school usually goes to hang at after school and walk in.

"Hey man, you got some pot?" I hear someone basically shout. What if a cop was in this store?

I go to the snack isle and grab a tube of Pringles and then go over to the drinks and low and behold guess who was there!

You're damn right, Khayman Burton, and can you guess what he's doing? Correct! He's all over Kaily McAllister, the school slut. Not surprising at all.

"Excuse me." I say, rudely. They both look up and Kaily flashes me the ugliest snarl, whereas Khayman looks like he was just caught cheating. I don't know why. This is what he does, he sleeps around. I mean hell, he slept with my best friend. I'm not gonna be with someone who sleeps with my best friend. Its wrong.

Khayman's hands immediately drop from Kaily's ass and he moves out of the way, Kaily following him like a magnet.

I reach into the fridge, grab a Snapple and go to the check out counter. I bought my things and then went back to my car.

"If he wasn't a hoe, I might give it a go." I rap to myself. "Hi, my name is Kendall, nope like the Kindle fire, even though my tracks are fire. I'm the one you want to hire, no I'll never retire."

I'm interrupted by someone laughing, and I realize I didn't close my car door. I look over and see a boy with short curly hair and brown eyes. He had a decent build and to be honest he was kind of cute.

"I don't know what that was, but sign me up for that mixtape." He says in between laughter. I couldn't help but start to laugh with him, his laugh was so contagious.

"Shut up." I mutter, loud enough for him to hear.

"I'm Ronnie, and you're a really bad rapper."  He laughs holding out his hand for me to shake it. I stand up out of my car and shake his hand.

"I'm Kendall Fire." I say sarcastically.
