This one-shot was requested by @moriarty_burn. It's a Christmas story where Derek went off to war and he isn't coming home until after Christmas. Enjoy!

Stiles kept checking his phone every five minutes. He knew that it was still about three weeks until his boyfriend was supposed to come home, but he was still nervous. Stiles was supposed to be taking his mind off of it by spending the day with Erica, but he couldn't stop worrying. "Hey, lover boy. Are you listening to me?" Stiles looked up to see Erica looking at him with an amused look. "Sorry. I'm just a little distracted." She just rolled her eyes as Stiles went back to his phone. "I was saying that since Derek isn't coming home until after Christmas, you could some and spend it with me. Scott, Isaac, Lydia, Liam, Allison, and Boyd will be there." Erica looked a little excited as she asked him to spend the holidays together. He just nodded his head yes. "Good you need something to get your mind off of him."
"I just wish he would come home before Christmas so that we could spend time together. He's been gone for six months and I hate being away from him." Erica just nodded as she drove to the mall. She said something about getting presents for everyone. Stiles just sighed and looked at his window as they drove through town.

"Hey babe." Derek said. It's one of the only times Stiles can talk to Derek on Skype. "Hey. I miss you like crazy." Derek just chuckled a little. "I miss you too. How's the pack doing?"
"They're doing pretty good. We all wish you were here. They can't wait until you get home." Stiles was holding back his tears as he told Derek about everything that's been happening. Just after explaining that the pack was spending Christmas at Erica's house, Scott and Isaac walked into the loft and saw them Skyping. "DEREK! I MISS YOU I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU A-" Isaac yelled before Scott clamped a hand over his mouth and pulled him into their room. Derek just laughed before yelling in return "MISS YOU TOO, ISAAC!" We both laughed at his response. "That was odd. I wonder why Scott pulled him away..." Derek looked a little nervous before someone on his side of the call yelled for him. "Sorry babe. I have to go. I miss you. See you in a few weeks! I love you." Stiles sighed before saying "Love you too. See you soon." With that Stiles smiled before hitting the end button.

Stiles was moping around on Christmas Eve before heading over to Erica's. He was a lot sadder than he thought he would be. He just wanted Derek to be home for Christmas. But Stiles tried to put on a smile as he gathered the presents he got for the pack and got into his car. He cried softly as he drove the fifteen minutes to Erica's house.
As he pulled into her driveway, he saw everyone's cars already there. Stiles dried his eyes as he got the presents out of his car and walked up to the front door. Just as he was about to ring the doorbell, Isaac opened the door. "Hey, glad you could make it! Everyone's inside. Come on in!" Stiles smiled at him as he walked in. He put the presents under the tree before sitting with everyone in the living room. They had already started the pack cuddle. Scott and Isaac sat in the middle, curled into each other. Erica lied across their laps while Boyd put his head on her stomach. Lydia cuddled against Isaac while Allison cuddled against Scott. Liam was laying next to Boyd, laying his head on Boyd's shoulder. Stiles decided to sit by Boyd after popping in a Christmas movie.
When the movie was done, Erica and Lydia went to finish dinner while Scott and Isaac played outside in the snow. Allison and Boyd built a snow fort and started prepping snowballs to throw at Scott and Isaac. Liam went out to join Allison and Boyd after grabbing his coat, hat, boots, and gloves. As he ran outside, Stiles couldn't help but smile before he decided to join them.
After dinner, the pack sat around the tree while Stiles passed out Christmas presents to everyone. He frowned slightly when he saw that the only gifts left were for Derek. Stiles shook his head before grabbing his presents and sitting down. When he looked around, he saw Scott staring at him like he knew something he didn't. Stiles just went back to smiling as everyone else opened their presents. Once everyone opened their presents except for him, they started trying out their new stuff.
"Why haven't you opened any of your presents, love? I specifically told Scott to give you mine." Stiles' head shot up. Right in front of him were the green eyes he's fallen in love with over and over again. Stiles jumped onto Derek, crying as Derek chuckled whispering soothing things into his ear. The rest of the pack seemed to notice that he was back and ran forward to hug him. Everyone seemed excited and happy that he was back.
"How long have you known that you were coming home?" Stiles asked after everyone calmed down, although, Isaac had a little trouble letting go of Derek. "I've known for a while. I just wanted to surprise you." Derek seemed a little embarrassed but Stiles just hugged him. Derek hugged him back before Stiles pulled away. "Come here and kiss me you idiot." Stiles smiled as Derek leaned down to kiss him. Best. Christmas. Ever. Stiles thinks as he smiles into the kiss.
