The Sacrifices

Chapter 4

I lay down on the couch, and as I heard some snoring voice from the other room, I start to close my eyes. I start to think about what he said before and my head start to spinning around, my heart is beating so fast, my throat feel so dry and I have the urge to throw up. I walk to the kitchen and turn the lights on and take a glass and fill it with plain water and drink it. My eyes feels like is burning, It feels like I wanna cry but I'm not sure why did I cry.

"Thalia? Is that you?", I heard a voice behind me and its sound a bit sore. "Ya-yeah", I stutter. I turn around and see Niall standing beside the fridge and he's trying to get used to the lights. "Why are you awake, anyway?",  as I brushed my eyes. "No,particular things. Just woken up", He shrug "and I see the kitchen light is on so I just cheking it and you here. Why are you here anyway?".

"Can't sleep and my throat is dry", as I faking a sore throat. "Ah, I see", He nod. "Does the other still asleep?". "Sleep like a pig", He said. I just laugh at him.
"Wanna watch some movie?", He ask.
I just nod.
"Come on, then"
"Eh, Niall?"
"Yeah?"
"Uhm, No- Nevermind, let's go"

We watch Harry Potter, because it's the only movie that is normal. It's not like there is no 'normal-movie'. We just trying to watch something that is not heavy to watch and really easy to watch. At first he just ask me if I want to watch horror or some thriller movie, but I said no because in fact I'm just trying to help myself asleep and maybe some movie can help it. Gladly, We still have Harry Potter so thats it.

I bring my feet up and hug my feet on the couch. Niall went to the other room and back with a blanket that is big enough. "You cold?", He said as he start to set the blanket for me and him. "No, It's okay", I said. "Your nose can't lie", He glared at me. I just nod at him, "Okay then, if my nose can't line, so do I". He wrap the blanket around me and him.

We talk as long the movie is still playing.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah"
"Why are you decide to work here?"
"I just need a job right away, I did apply to the other places. But the confirmation that come first is this company, so I just accept it right away"
"Oh, and believe me work here is not that easy"
"Why?"
"You'll find it out sooner or later" He said.
After he said it, he turn his head and look down at me, and say, "You are so small". He start to move his head and make it closer to me. I can feel it that the heat in my face is start to build up.

He start to wrap his hand around my waste, and as his head is closer to my face, he lead his face to my neck and end up in my shoulder. "I'm sorry for what I say. I did mean it when I say you are beautiful. I mean it, for every word I say."
"But, you're drunk in that time, Niall"
"You know that right, the people who's get drunk, when they speak, they're telling the truth." I froze at his sentence.

"I'm sorry", He said. "I'm sleepy", as he said it, I start to feel the heavy weight in my eyes, "Me too". But he is already asleep in my shoulder, "Niall, wake up. Go back to your bunk, I want to sleep too". He just grab my waist, "Put your feet aside"
"What?"
"Put your feet aside", I did what he told me. He grab my waist and lay me in the side of the couch and he lay beside me. "Now we can sleep, aren't we?", And I fall asleep.
