"Mr. Luther you can't be serious."
"I am a very serious person Miss Johnson."
---
Karen Johnson had just entered Lex Corp Head Quarters. She had been promised by Mr. Luther's Public Relations Assistant for an interview. Although Karen wasn't much of a persistent woman, she became that way when there was a juicy story needing to be told in the paper.
Lately rumors were being spread that LexCorp was to expand its company further than just in Metropolis City. There were even a few 'hear says' about a meeting between Mr. Luther and Mr. Wayne of Gotham.
Karen had been sitting in a room with no widows and what seemed like no real air. The only thing a person could tell about this place was that the room had the feeling of as if someone had died in it.
The room was rather large and empty except a single wooden desk and a couch for waiting. The walls were a pale grey color, wallpaper she presumed, and they were accented with white crown molding on the tops and bottoms of the walls. The floor was hard wood, what wood she could not tell, but by the looks of the high-end furniture Karen knew it was more than likely expensive.
"Mr. Luther will see you now." A light voice rang.
From the door across the way of where Miss Karen Johnson had been sitting, a strange woman appeared.
Karen gathered her stuff in her arms. All she held was a tape recorder, a note pad, and her lucky pencil.
"Right this way." The woman said with a smile on her face.
Karen was led down three long halls, all of which had many doors. She looked at each entrance with curiosity. Lex Luther was known to hide skeletons according to the people she worked with at the Daily Planet. Her curiosity raged inside her but she was only here for one reason.
Karen was led into a room where she was left alone. It was a home gym equipped with many machines used to exsersize and enhance muscles.
"Is this where I'll be-" but before Karen could finish her sentence the young woman was gone.
"Please excuse her." Mr. Luther said as he walked up to Karen, "That's my niece Nasthalia. She's interning for me."
She noticed the lack of shirt and the sweat dripping from Luther's neck and forehead. He had been working out.
Luther wrapped his white towel around his neck after wiping the sweat from his brow. The towel sat on rest along his shoulders perfectly.
"....."
"Miss Johnson? I don't waist time." He said sternly before snapping his fingers in her face to regain her attention.
"Oh! Mr. Luther I am sorry." Her words stumbled from her mouth as she pulled out the things she needed in order to get her interview perfectly.
Lex Luther watched Karen with lazy eyes and an unamused expression and she held up the recorder to his face.
"Okay, so Mr. Luther my name is-"
"Karen Marie Johnson. You work at the Daily Planet from 4:30am to 9:00pm. You've never owned any pets but used to own a fish that died two days ago. When you're sad you eat ice cream. You ate a lot of ice cream that day. Your parents are John and Helen Johnson. You had an older brother who died at war. I know who you are."
Lex continued to stare unamused then began to walk away.
She stood speechless before following him, careful to not drop her things. However Karen did let her hand drop by her side and shoved the recorder into her coat pocket but was careful to not shut it off.
