Beep! Beep! Beep!
Sydney rolled out of bed quickly and quietly she got ready for work. It was only 6:15 in the morning but Sydney was wide awake and running along the road as not to be late for work. Sydney worked at a lovely cafe downtown where all the rich snooty people would hang out she got paid just enough to help her family stay afloat.
"Good Morning Margo" Sydney called to her friend who was already at the cash register setting up for the day.
"Morning Sydney" Margo called out " We have a booking for three girls at around 10 ish can you handle that one?"
"Yeah sure as long as they're not snotty rich kids"
Sydney started serving people all morning long and she enjoyed it. At around 10 two girls walked in and said that they were Sydney's 10'oclock so she walked up and asked them if they wanted any drinks and they said they were waiting on somebody else.
When they placed their order one of Sydney's co-workers commented on the fact that she looks a bit like one of the girls that she had just served. Sydney wished that she had siblings but ever since she was little she was told that she had been adopted. She hadn't really had the time to look for her birth mother or any siblings she may have because she has been busy trying to keep her adoptive family afloat.
"Earth to Sydney come in " Margo yelled in her ear
"Sorry Sorry I was just daydreaming," Sydney said sheepishly
"Its ok" Margo said " we all do it at times anyway orders up for your table"
"Thanks, Margo you are a life saver"
Sydney took the food over to the three girls that she was serving and her day carried on
But tomorrow she will work late from 5-9 cause she has school tomorrow
