A/N: So I was kind of messing with a few Klaroline ideas in my head and this happened. This is kind of AU. I'm just going to say it takes place in October/ Novemeber 2012(based on season 4) and is kind of gonna have it's own time line. I'm going to try keep some of the events that happened in the show but the pairings will be a bit different. I plan on making this multi-fic! Alright that's all! Enjoy!

"Caroline, breathe. I know it's hard but you have to do this for me. For your mom."
Caroline paced back and forth outside of the Mystic Falls hospital, her breathing heavy and pulse racing.
"Stefan, H-how did I do this t-to my own mo-mo-mother?" Caroline tripped and stumbled over her words, tears finally building in her eyes. The realization hitting her like a wall of bricks, she did that. She couldn't even bring herself to say it.
"It was an accident, Caroline. You have been under a lot of stress recently. It wasn't your-"
"Stefan!" Caroline yelled, stopping her pacing right in front of his face. "Don't you dare say it wasn't my fault! Because it was! It still is! I b-"
"Caroline!" Caroline was cut off by the sound of her own name. Elena.
"I'm so glad you're alright! Stefan called me about it and I tried to get here as fast as I could!" Elena rambled, throwing her arms around Caroline's neck, making Stefan move to the side.
Stefan watched Caroline relax in Elena's arms. Saw her breathing begin to slow. Just Elena's presence helped Caroline in a way he couldn't.
"Why don't we get you home, yeah?" Elena questioned, a bit nervous at the idea of bringing Caroline home.
Caroline pulled out of the hug at Elena's suggestion.
"But I-I think I need to stay here," Caroline mumbled, trying to stop the tears still flowing from her eyes.
Caroline pretended to not see Elena shoot Stefan and please-help-me glare.
Suddenly Caroline felt two strong arms pick her up bridal style.
"Stefan! Get off of me!" Caroline tried flailing her limbs and using all of her vampire strength to get out of his grip but she couldn't, he was too strong.
"We're gonna go and get you cleaned up Care, you've got blood on you and you need to get some sleep. You aren't going to help your mom at all in this state, got it?" Elena explained to Caroline, opening the car door to take her home.
"Got it," Caroline mumbled.

3 weeks. Caroline stayed locked up in her room for 3 weeks. Her mom had come home and forgiven Caroline, but Caroline hadn't forgiven herself. She couldn't even bring herself to hug her mom or talk to her mom. She was ashamed.
Elena, Stefan, and Bonnie had often come to check in on her and to make sure that she was getting some blood(which only happened when they visited, for she couldn't bring herself to get out of bed)as much as they could, Caroline understood when they couldn't. They had their own priorites and life.
She had also stayed out of school and turned off her phone, disconnecting herself from as much as possible. And as much as Caroline wanted to turn off all her feelings, she knew her mother would never forgive her. So she continued to hurt.
Today was another day out of school. Another day in her room. Another day of shame. It amazed Caroline how for 3 weeks, she had nothing but stare at blank walls and hadn't gone crazy. Well, that last bit was debatable.
It was mid-day and Caroline was drifting off to sleep when the doorbell rang.
"Go away," Caroline groaned, pulling the blankets over her head.
Ding dong.
Silence.
Ding dong.
"You have got to be kidding me!" Caroline yelled, getting out of bed for the first time in-well, a while.
"This better be pretty damn good!" Caroline called, stomping through the house.
Caroline went to open the door when she passed a mirror and suddenly remembered the way that she looked. She hadn't showered in 4 days, she hadn't brushed her teeth in 2. Her hair had been thrown up in a bun, her skin was probably oily. And she didn't even want to think about her clothes.
Ding dong.
All thoughts of her appearance were replaced with anger for the person behind the door.
"I swear to god, whoever it is I swear I will-" Caroline was cut off by her own gasp when she opened the door.
"Oh what, you're not even going to tell me you missed me?" A cocky expression grew on the intruders face.
"I- I thought you had left," Caroline said breathlessly.
"Oh I did, but I'm back. So I heard that you bit your own mother. Really Caroline, I expected more from you, considering you're the strongest of your vampire groupies," Disgust dripping on the last few words of the sentence.
Caroline had no words, she couldn't form them in her mouth. She couldn't even believe he was back.
Klaus.
