Cayman guided cocoa in the cove tying him up before running out with her awards drawn, facing off the creatures, which she realized we're giant Ravens.
The others were preoccupied in the cave tying up the horses, so she was on her own.
They attacked left and right diving towards her and upon contact of her sword, dissolved into sand.
What is this? She thought as she stopped another from entering the cave.
After a moment an arrow whizzed past her shoulder hitting another sand beast, the sand falling at their feet.
She gave Tyler the signal to shoot at her as she got the attention of a group of birds, diving at her.
At last minute when she felt the arrow coming at her and the birds flying towards her she flipped backwards over the arrow and it went straight through five birds.
The others stared at her but finally continued to fight as they began to get closer.
But they began to dwindle as they fought side by side, Samson with his mace, Tyler with his arrows, the prince with a dagger and a sword, Keirnan with his sword, and black Ryder with his dual swords.
Out of no where a bird swooped from behind knocking her hood back, and she left it as she side stepped another attack, taking out three birds.
Lucky for her the scarf was draped around head, the only thing showing was her eyes.
They fought them off until finely, the only evidence of the birds, was the sand beneath their feet and their heavy breathing.
Cayman breathed in deeply, wishing to remove the scarf but turned to her companions who stared at her in awe.
"Man, you were brilliant!" Keirnan exclaimed.
Samson smiled at me, nodding in approval.
Tyler scoffed," I think I did far more amazing."
Samson rolled his eyes nudging Tyler's side.
"Hey!" He said. "Fine. You did good."
When she turned to look at the prince, though, she looked past him towards their horses and walked past, pulling her hood up over her head to shield herself.
She went in the cave, where the spooked horses were.
"Hey," she whispered to cocoa. "It's ok, Hun. They're all gone," she said calming him.
She did the same to the rest of the horses, oblivious to the eyes of the prince.
He cleared his throat after she cleaned the wound of his horse.
"I want to... Apologize. I should have trusted you more than I did. And I'm sorry for that. Can you... er... forgive me?" He said as she looked over to him.
She shrugged turning back to the wounded horse and rubbing his flank.
The prince was an arrogant jerk , that was for sure. But he had the best intentions.
"I know you can speak Ryder, I just don't know why you don't. If I can ever gain you're trust, I'll be willing to listen to you," he said softly before Tyler and Keirnan walked in arguing.
"Laken! Tell him he's acting stupid!" Keirnan demanded.
"I am not! I need hair gel! How am I supposed to return a hero looking like this!?" He demanded.
Samson walked in behind the two rolling his eyes before going to his horse and checking him over.
"Who calmed the horses? They were totally freaked out," Tyler said after a moment.
