(Zuri POV)

I wobble it bit, my hand still wrapped in Armins'. We are walking into the HQ, just coming back from Operation Construction. My brunette hair whips over onto Armins' shoulder, and he doesn't move to brush it off. Ayia runs up behind us, flanked by Eren and Mikasa. "Zuri, are you sure your okay?" Ayia asks. I turn my head to look at her. Her hair was pulled back in a curly ponytail, and angry burns still pattern her face. "I'm wondering about you. Doesn't your face hurt?" I ask. The pain of my own heat burns throbs as I mention them. Ayia hesitates before nodding. "I didn't become a whole different Titan though." She says, running her fingers through her hair.

"Uh.. Okay...?" I say. I turn my head again, to look forward. What is she talking about? The doors open up before us, and I feel myself wobble again. Armin steadies me, his blonde hair swishing with his every movement. This whole time, he has been silent. I was worried, though I could literally feel the love radiating off of him. We walk into HQ, and everyone stares at us. No,they are staring at me. I feel my cheeks flood with color. Why is everyone staring at me?

Armin nudges me off of his shoulder, and twines his fingers through mine, We walk to my room, and he tosses me onto the bed. His eyes are watery. "Armin...?" I say. "Your really back, right? This isn't some joke..?" He asks. His voice sounds scratched and sore. I stand up. "Armin, what're you talking about?"

He tells me everything.

By the end of the story, I'm sitting on the bed, running my fingers through my hair. Tears are still streaming down my face. "I.. I screamed your name..?" I mutter distantly. He nods. "It's better now." He says. "Your back." I look up at him. His eyes are red from the tears he shed. "I really hurt you, Armin.." I try to swallow the lump in my throat, but it continues to rise steadily. "Zuri, it's okay." He says. "No.. No its not!" I say, standing up. "I can't hurt you again, not like that!"

I run out of the room, tears silently streaming down my cheeks. I pass by other soldiers in the halls, who look at me oddly. *No.. Don't look at me like that!* I scream inside my head. *I'm not some monster!* I burst through the doors and stop on the outdoors of HQ. "But.. I am a monster..." I mutter. wind blows my short brown hair into my face. "I'm... I'm one of those Titans... And I have hurt Armin.."

"I can't let that happen. Ever again."

I run away from HQ, my boots thudding against the ground softly. I keep my head down and arms to my chest, my hands balled into fists. Tears fall from my face onto my jacket, but I don't care. I need out of here, now. I check my waist absently. My 3D device is strapped to me. I look up, my vision blurry from the tears. I start sprinting fast, faster.

After a few minutes of non-stop 110% effort of sprinting, I reach Trost.

The gate was almost finished, and no Titan was able to enter now. Still, the citizens were being kept out of Trost until the gate is fully finished. I use my device on the buildings and make my way to the gate. The materials are still there, and a few workers are finishing up the gate entirely. I flick a tear from my eyes and land smoothly next to the gate. "Hey." I say, flipping my hair over my shoulder. My voice sounds cool and collected. The workers instantly turn around. "Uh, Hi." One says. "I'm Zuri Murbin, soldier of the Scout Regiment. I've been given authorization to clear out through this gate." I say, putting one hand on my hip.

One of the workers steps forward. "Zuri, Hm? Then your that Titan Shifter who died and came back to life on the job!" I blink. "Yeah." I say. "Now let me through your gate." "Woah, you died? How did it feel?" Another worker pipes up. "Weird. Let me through the gate." I respond, annoyed. Instantly, all the workers start spitting out questions. I take a deep breath. "I CAN'T ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS RIGHT NOW, LET ME THROUGH THE GATE!"

   The workers stop talking instantly.

One steps forward and opens a part of the unfinished gate. "That's Titan territory, Miss." He says. "Yeah. I belong there." I say nonchalantly, and I walk out of the opened gate. Then, I run.

Running away from Humanity.

Running away from my problems.

Running away,

From Armin.
