Flights and fights

The Sailee castle was bustling with activity, the dreary mood of the kingdom gone with the arrival of Eyene. The whole thing was kind of funny because most of the humans, who had no idea who Eyene was, were actively celebrating the arrival of a foreign celebrity, simply grasping at the first opportunity they got to distract themselves from the gruesome murders, to keep their mind off the serial killer that was still on the loose. Abbadon was in no mood to celebrate Eyene's arrival, it seemed rather hypocritical to hold a festival now, especially with a bunch of fey running around making sacrifices to open the gates to Ement .

He was confused as to why Eyene decided to make an appearance now. Sure it was really appreciated but the only thing the man had done till date was to make himself real comfortable in one of the castle rooms , occasionally popping out to take a few chocolates back to the room, all the while talking about how chocolates were one of the few things humans invented that was actually worth the effort. Abbadon huffed, he wondered if Eyene saw the world the way he did, did  Eyene not find the opening of the gates of Ement a big enough threat or perhaps he took his sweet time for everything. It made Abbadon very uneasy.

Abbadon sighed, he'd have to tighten security quite a bit, with fey allowed into the castle to pay their respects, far too many people were  popping in the castle and that made Abbadon uncomfortable. For all he knew , the faceless murderers were prowling about his castle paying their fake respect before stabbing feykind in the back.  An ugly myna flew into his room through the window, screeching loudly as it landed on his table, creating a mess. He never understood why Arrogane preferred to take the shape of an ugly bird, had he wanted to masquerade as an animal for a while, he would've at least preferred being an eagle, hell anything other than a pesky little myna. The myna dropped a little rolled up piece of paper before taking off, not before screeching in a way that put school bells to shame. Abbadon opened the rolled up paper , which announced the arrival of Lady Legasus before going completely blank.

Neil was standing in front of the gates with Loki by his side, wondering if he should go in or not. Damien was perpetually irritated, Nerezza really frustrated and Abbadon was, well, Abbadon. Added to all that there was this strange gazzillion year old guy that defined lazy. He figured he might as well head home, be lazy for a day, eat around a bit so so or at least that was the plan before he saw Lady Legasus coming towards him.

If there was anyone who knew how to make an eye popping entrance it was Lady Legasus. She arrived at the castle riding a dragon, a majestic beast that Neil gaped at shamelessly. Unlike the ugly orange dragon at the castle gates this one was a beautiful, almost unreal , silver gray colored one with scales so smooth and clear they appeared to be polished, Neil could even see his reflection on it. The queen dismounted with grace, stroking the beast twice on it's head before telling it to sit still at the gate. "Won't humans notice?" Neil asked, genuinely confused. Did fey not know there were no real dragons as far as humans were concerned , that the few dragons that they did have were in fairy tales and fantasy books. "Pssh....little one, humans are as blind as a bat when it comes to seeing anything out of the ordinary, even if we shake it in front of their silly faces."Lady Legasus said, laughing. Now Neil had half a mind to ask if the beast would make a meal out of some poor human that unknowingly stepped on it's tail. He refrained from doing so of course, he  couldn't see anything good coming out of offending a dragon, it probably knew english and all that.

"Why don't we head in now, little one, you've been standing here for quite a while now , haven't you, deary" Lady Legasus said in a suffocatingly sweet voice, throwing one of her long bony hands over his shoulder, literally dragging him in with her.She dragged him along with her , entering Eyene's room without even pausing to knock. "Ah, been quite a while, aye lady. Been busy, huh?" Eyene said, smiling in greeting. Lady Legasus didn't return the smile though, Neil stared blankly at  her when she told Eyene to stop the pretense. " Will you help them?" Legasus asked, straight to the point.

Eyene chuckled , staring at Lady Legasus like there was something very funny on her face. " And is the pretty lady asking for it? " he asked in return, with a slight pinch of sarcasm .'Nope, I was actually asking if you would helping the ones behind those weird sacrifices" Eyene laughed out loud after hearing that "Nope, there's nothing to worry about in that count, I can assure you that I have absolutely no plans to help them, now, let's not bring the past into it hmmm, that was all just for some good fun, Legasus , there was no actual harm done"

Legasus knew her question was beyond silly but she just couldn't help it. Eyene didn't particularly go for the right team, he often went where there was more fun to be had, sometimes just for the sake of making the playground even and prolonging a few fights. He was a hard person to trust, a person who liked to play sneaky and do things on whim, someone who never played by the rules. She'd learned this the hard way in the past, when she was much too new to her throne .

Neil breathed a sigh of relief, finally letting out the breath he had been holding since Lady Legasus started talking. Thankfully there were no swords flying or severed heads, he had half expected one of them to jump the other, what with all the tension in the air.
