I was looking at a valley full of… What were they? Overgrown foxes? “What are those?” I leaned over toward Allen. They looked the size of wolves… But they looked like a light colored fox.

“I have no idea.” He replied as he got up. “Aren’t their supposed to be dinosaurs in the past? Not foxes?”

“Yeah…” I tried to get up, but then my left leg slipped underneath me and made a big splash in the mud puddle we were in. “Crap!” I spat as I landed back in the mud.

“Here, let me help.” He held out his hand and I grabbed it and pulled myself up.

Our eyes met. His eyes showed sympathy and confusion. “Were not in the scientist’s backyard anymore… Are we?” I asked, looking down.

“I don’t think so… Who was wrong about if the time machine worked?” He chuckled.

“I didn’t think that the thing would work! That doesn’t matter anymore though, we’re stuck here!” I looked at where the time machine was supposed to be. I saw nothing but mud there. There wasn’t any sparkling blue there either.

“Well… At least we have each other.” He said as he walked out of the mud.

I followed him. “Yes, but where’s food? Where’s water?” I looked at him.

His eyes were rested on one of the overgrown foxes. It was bright orange, and had a white muzzle, chest, and tip of tail. “Right in front of us.” He whispered.

“What?” I squealed. “We can’t kill those, their as big as wolves!”

“Yeah.. But their something.” He started charging at one of them as it started screeching.

“P-please! Don’t eat me!” The overgrown fox screeched.

“Huh?” Allen stopped in his tracks a foot away from the fox.

“Did that thing just.. Talk?” I ran toward them.

Yes, they do talk! This really happened remember? How’d they learn English..? Hm… How’d you learn English? That’s how they learned it, no not from school! From their parents- just listen up.

     “Yes… I talked…”

Allen and I looked at it. “How can you talk… You’re an animal…” I murmured.

The animal tipped her head a little to the side. “Animal? What’s an animal? For your information I’m a Myngoe.”

Allen and I exchanged glances. “A… Mango?” Allen asked.

“No! Not a mango, a Min-goo! Myngoe! What are you? Are you another Haiu?” She started growling at us.

“Woah, take it easy.” I took a step back. “Were humans. What’s a Haiu?”

“Wait… Humans?” She stopped growling. “I’ve never seen… A human here before..” She murmured under her breath. “Better show the Ira’s them.. Follow me.” She suddenly spoke up. She turned around and started walking away.

“Should we trust her?” I whispered in Allen’s ear. “She could be leading us t-“

“I can hear you you know.” The Myngoe turned around. “I’m harmless! It’s the Haiu’s you have to worry about, now come on!”

     “A Haiu?” I whispered.

“Maybe she’ll tell us when we get to were ever she’s leading us to? I think we can trust her.” Allen started running after the Myngoe as I followed him.

I stayed close to him until the Myngoe stopped in a rainforest which seemed like forever. “Demine, Lou, Saivire, where are you?” The Myngoe howled.

“Ria, Ria is that you?” All of a sudden trees and bushes started rustling in front of us until a giant black lion came into view. He was as big as a house… But he looked like a lion. He bent his head over the trees to look at all of us. “Ria… Who are they? I’ve never seen a Setrate like them before.” His voice was deep.

Setrate? And is the Myngoe’s name… Ria? “These are humans. I have no idea where they came from Lou.” Ria replied. “I thought that you would know what they were.” She bent her head over sadly.

“Um… Are you.. Going to eat us..?” Allen stammered, looking wide eyed at the lion.

The lion frowned. “Depends… If you’re like the Haius…” He growled, spitting all over us.

“They are nice humans. They have many questions though…” Ria looked annoyed.

The lion stopped growling. “I’ll answer all your questions.” He replied, turning around. “Follow me.” He roared as he started walking away.

Even when the lion was walking, Allen, Ria, and I all had to run to keep up with him.

We all ran until we got to a huge river. It was like an ocean, but you were able to drink out of it. Allen and I were catching our breaths when the lion walked into the river and lay down. Ria laid down next to the river. “You have questions?” The black lion asked as Allen and I caught our breaths.

“Yes.” Allen spoke before I did. “What is a Myngoe, a Setrate, and what’s a Haiu!” He sounded very confused. I put my hand on his shoulder.

“Calm down.” I soothed. “These are nice animals, they won’t do anything bad to us.” I smiled.

He smiled, and then we both looked up at the black lion.

“A Myngoe.” He started. “Is the smallest out of all of us. They are playful and friendly, and they have light colored fur. So, Ria is a Myngoe. A Setrate is…” He looked at Ria. “It’s all of us I guess you could say.”

“Oh, I think I understand.” I looked back at Allen. “A Setrate… Is like another word for animal.”

“Oh!” Allen’s eyes grew wide. “I guess Setrate’s, have another way of saying things in the past.”

“Haiu’s are evil Setrates.” Lou started growling. “They are mean, ruthless Setrates who have dark colored fur. They are trying to take over our world that we live in.”

“So.. You are the ruler of this world...?” I asked raising an eyebrow.

“Well… the Ira’s are in charge. We are the biggest, strongest, and wisest. I am an Ira.” He closed his eyes and smiled. “There are only three Ira’s. Two are black, and the last one is white. All our parents died saving The World of Arie…” He suddenly looked down, depressed.

“Wait, what?” Allen narrowed his eyes. “The World of Arie? You mean the World of Earth, right? Were standing on the Earth.”

Lou looked at Allen. “No, I don’t know what Earth is… This is Arie. Dumb head.” He started chuckling.

I looked at Allen. “I think their talking about the Earth.”

Allen raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“I think that in the past, Earth was known as Arie. And the three Ira’s are like the presidents. They are in charge.” I said, as I heard bushes rustle behind me.

We all swiftly looked behind Allen and I. All of a sudden something pounced out of the bushes and on Ria, scratching her belly fur. I couldn’t believe what was on top of Ria.

Yes, can you believe it? Earth was known as Arie back then. Interesting huh? And how animals had their own way of having wars, and their own way of saying animal, fox, and lion? Okay okay, I’ll tell you what pounced on Ria in a second.
