into the silent night. ((my biological parents in the photo section))

"Luke, look at how beautiful this baby is," I cooed, tickling the little girl under her chin watching as she giggled.

"She's gorgeous, Em, do you want to get her?" Luke slides his hands around my huge ten month stomach.

"I don't know, Luke. Are we ready for this? I mean, I think we should let this little one grow for a while before jumping into adoption." I run my hand through my blonde hair sighing in confusion.

He nodded, "I think we should wait a while."

I bit my lip, "Okay, I trust that you made the best decision for us."

He smiles, and pulls me into a hug, kissing my forehead multiple times.

"I love you," He mumbles. "so much."

My lips can't help but spread into a smile, as my cheeks turn a crimson red. "I love you more."

I peck him on the lips and take his outstretched hand to help me down the stairs. He walks behind me, a hand on my stomach, the other, intertwined with my fingers. He guides me slowly but carefully down the stairs, to the exit.

He helps me into the car, making sure to recline my chair so I'm comfortable. "Are you okay? Is that good?" He asks putting the chair lower.

"Luke, I'm fine, calm down." I reply, rolling my eyes. My mood suddenly turned sour, after our baby boy had kicked endlessly once I got comfortable in my seat. He soon stopped and I sighed in content.

He nodded, closed the door and ran around to his side, starting his car. He sang along with the Christmas carols, his beautiful voice filling the car. I closed my eyes taking in his glorious voice. I started groaning, clutching my stomach in pain and Luke immediately turned to me, looking panicked and worried. "Are you going into labor?"

I shook my head, "He's kicking a lot, harder than usual." I whined, breathing harder and faster. The pain was unbearable, I'd never felt anything as bad as this. Luke took my hand in his telling me to squeeze it when I felt pain.

"I'm sorry, babygirl. I'm so sorry. If I could take the pain away I'd take it all away before it even reached you."

It was like instantly after he said that, my pain left and I could breath normally again.

"You're amazing," I praise, kissing his hand. "I don't know what you did, but it worked."

He chuckles,  "My voice works wonders,"

I nod enthusiastically, and he pulls up to our home and before he could utter one word to me, I was running into the kitchen to grab strawberries and cookies and cream ice cream.

"You're so cute, baby." He coos, kissing my lips softly and sitting on the couch beside me.

I tried to get myself comfortable and miserably failed when I couldn't see the tv over my belly. I decided I could finish the ice cream later and placed it on the table before us. Luke laid my head down on his lap sideways and even though the tv became sideways, I was comfortable.

"Baby," I murmur, turning to look him in the eye. "Thank you for taking care of me, these last few months, I don't know anyone who could've taken better care of me than you did. I love you, and I really appreciate it."

His lips spread into a cheesy grin and he got so excited (God bless his heart) and nodded his head, "Just doing what I do, baby."

"You do you, boo," I teased, giving him a closed lip smile.

He slightly chuckles and lifts up my shirt. He leaves little kisses all over my stomach and says things like, "Hi, baby boy, I'm your dad. I can't wait to meet you,"

The baby then kicks out of excitement. Luke feels the kick, mid-kiss and immediately sits up, rubbing his lips. "Awe, where does it hurt?" I tease.

He pouts and points to his lips.

I laugh and place a kiss on his lips.

This man is going to be the death of me.
