Ok so I'm going to try to update this story as much as I can so ya! Enjoy! :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I didn't want to hear the last words out of that soldiers mouth! Silence went throughout the room. I peeked out of my favorite pillow and saw my mother burst out into tears. "HE'S DEAD!?!?" My mother said. " This can't be happening!" "I'm afraid so." "I'm very sorry for your loss but we must leave now." They walked out of the door. My mother dropped down to the floor and screamed like bloody murder and cried like she has been stabbed. I have never seen my mother like this before. It was a frightening sight for me. I couldn't take it anymore. Everything was practically over for me.
"Mother please calm down!" I said begging on my knees. "It will be ok." I said calming her down. It was kind of weird calming down my own mother, I mean wouldn't it be the opposite I
thought in my head. "You will always have me." I said "Annamarie you promise you will always stick to me!" " I already have lost my husband and I do not ever want to loose you!" "Ok?" She said as another teardrop went down her face. "Mom I promise everything will be all right." I said as I pushed myself into her arms to form a hug.
The lights went out and everything was dark. I hear a gasp slip out of my mothers mouth. I felt my way to the window and saw that all the lights were out I guess it was another blackout. We had one last week but it didn't last that long this one lasted for a while. So we lit up a candle and found are way to the kitchen to make dinner. Unfortunately are stove wasn't working either so today we had no luck and today was chicken noodle soup day yumm! My favorite! So we couldn't eat. So I practically starved last night. This night was the hardest night to sleep through because, I couldn't stop thinking about my father and I think half of the night my stomach was rumbling. But I finally fell asleep.
When I woke up I felt the other side of my bed. That was the cold side of my bed because, every night it would get the hottest so I would roll over to the other side of my bed. It was nearly spring and it already felt like a desert! I wondered why I wasn't on the cool side of my bed. I remembered that I fell asleep on the cool side of my bed. I must of rolled over because, my mother said once I slept with her I would move all over the bed like crazy when I slept. I got out of bed and felt the cold floor on the bottom of my foot and that I tell you felt good! Well that's one way to cool your feet down! I struggled walking to the kitchen to eat breakfast. My legs got weak and more weak everyday! Well isn't that lovely!
I finally reached my destination. "Mother what's for breakfast?" I asked softly. "Same old rice!" She said. "Yumm my favorite!" I said sarcastically. "Ha ha very funny!" "Annamarie it's the only thing we have other than chicken noodle soup." "But we are saving it for tonight's dinner because we didn't have it last night." "Fine." I said in my grumpy voice.
Finally the rice was done and we sat at our table where we eat. It was kinda awkward because, it was silent all through the room there was nothing to talk about. After we were done eating my mother said she was going to take a nap because, it has been a very hard week. I thought I would get some rest to because, me and my mother were heading out to work soon. I didn't expect my mom to take this so well. She seemed a little depressed but she took it better than expected. It was like yesterday there was a shooting and the next day world peace hit but that would never happen.
