"Ms. Evans, you do realize you're failing my class, correct?" Arabella's Algebra 2 teacher says disapprovingly.

"You do realize I don't give a shit, correct?" Arabella says smirking.

"Are you mocking me Ms. Evans!"

"Definitely"

"Anyway, in order to pass my class, you will need to have a tutor that I will assign you."

"Ew, learning" Arabella replies grimacing.

"How do you think your mother would feel about the person you've become?" her teacher says ignoring Arabella's comment.

Her smirk fades as her teacher smiles knowing she struck a nerve.

"Don't you dare talk about my mother" Arabella says, ready to smack a bitch if needed.

"Oh but it's true! Her sweet little girl she loved and cherished has turned into that" The teacher says motioning to Arabella's attire.

Arabella lived in the more upper class area of Omaha Nebraska. Most of the girls around her were always dressed nicely in dresses and skirts.

Arabella was the complete opposite.

When her mother committed suicide her life went downhill.

Arabella's father never cared about anything she did or how she dressed.

He blamed Arabella for his wife's passing so he became a workaholic to cope and was never there for Arabella when she needed him most.

Arabella found her way of coping as well.

Smoking, drinking, no longer giving a fuck, she turned into the rebel of the school.

Their reputation as the 'golden family' was gone and never coming back.

"Shut the fuck up! You know nothing about my family and have no right to talk to me as if you're better than me so shut the fuck up!" Arabella yells at her teacher.

Breathing heavily Arabella gets up from her chair and walks out of the classroom slamming the door on the way out.

As she runs out the doors of the school she passes by Jack Johnson, the smartest and richest kid in the city.

Jack heard everything and was impressed. No one really stood up for themselves against teachers at his school. Everyone here always tried to be perfect.

He always had admired her, to him she was perfect.

Jack lives next door to Arabella and saw everything that happened on the day of her mother's suicide.

He remembered the ambulance and police sirens. Arabella's father yelling about it was all her fault.

Most heartbreaking of all, he remembered her crying her eyes out and no one there for her.

He wanted to be that person.

His own mother sat him down and gave him a whole speech about how he was to never speak to her unless it was necessary to 'keep this family's reputation'.

Jack being the mommy's boy he is, listened.

To say he had a crush on Arabella was a understatement. The sad thing is that she doesn't even know his name.

Jack walks into the classroom and sits at his desk sighing as he thinks about the girl with purple hair.

"Mr. Johnson, would you be interested in a extra credit assignment?" The teacher asks him smiling.

"Of course I am" he accepted even though he was no where near actually needing it.

"Great, you will be tutoring Arabella Evans"

Jack's heart stopped.

Arabella Evans

Oh my god Jack thought

I can't tutor her, hell I can barely even look at her without turning into a idiot. Talking to her? I know that won't end well.

So many thoughts ran through Jacks head, mainly of consisting of the many ways he could embarrass him self.

"Jack?" the teacher questions.

"Oh i'm very sorry Ms. Norberry, but i'm afraid I can't tutor her" Jack says.

"I know she can be quite a displeasure to be around, but if anyone can help her it's you"

Displeasure?

Arabella is anything but a displeasure. Anyone would be lucky to spend time with her.

"On second thought, I would love to tutor her"
