Brooklyn's P.O.V

(while Nathalie and Nakomis are in the lost convent library)

I sent another dummy flying to the other side of the room. Sighing I ran my hand through my hair and took a sip from my water bottle. I was currently in the training room in the basement of the house, practicing my whip technique, fighting styles, and escape from reality.

Things have been so wild these past few months, and everyone's on edge. Nathalie seems pissed at everything and out almost every night with the guys on hunting patrol, Nakomis.........well Nakomis is always off with Ben doing god knows what, "Probably screwing each others brains out," I thought and grimaced. Everyone was treating me like some kind of fine china that would break on contact, and it was making me bitter. Not to mention that the most powerful creepypasta visited me, and said that I needed to remember something. Which I could not.

And I was hungry.

Not hungry like human food hungry. Hungry like soul hungry, and I was starving for some souls. I sighed again and sat on the floor, this is why I was down here in the first place. To keep my mind off the hunger and not hurt anyone. The only reason why I'm not out there grabbing and sucking the soul of a stranger is because of two reasons:

1. I'm not allowed out of the house without an escort (plus I don't like people watching me eat)

2. My own lovely personal code.

I made a pact long ago with Splenderman that I will only feed off of someone that knows my predicament and has given me permission. Which really sucks, in times like these. I would ask Nathalie or Nakomis, but they along with Ben and Jeff were missing. I think Splender and Trender noticed my problem yesterday, after a little shout off I had with a store clerk during our Christmas shopping spree, but the real shocker came this morning.

~~~~~~~~~flashback~~~~~~~~
The melody of someones life force.
I could feel it.
I could touch it.
Taste it.
It was so good, and I was so hungry. I leaned in and began to sing to it, too entice that delicious melody to me, and for a minute it came but then it resisted. I growled and sang harder, I was so hungry! I barley recognized my name being called and the rough shaking.
"Brooklyn!"
I stopped, and shook my head back into reality. I stared into Masky's brown eyes and felt the hold on my arms loosen. "Thank god." He breathed and finally relaxed and laid back down, I sat there confused and lost for a moment till I looked down. Hoodie laid there straddled under me breathing heavily, but what for? Then I saw it, a sliver of Hoodie's soul that was retracting back into his body. I gasped and jumped off the bed and pushed myself against the wall on the other side of the room.
What had I done?
Masky and Hoodie sat up and stared at me with worried looks, "I'm so sorry." I murmured in far off tone, "I-i-i-i don't know what came over me........I'm so sorry!" I cried and raced around grabbing my robe and heading for the door, "Brooklyn, wait! Where are you going?!" I heard Masky cry. But I couldn't answer, I was horrified with what I almost came close to doing.
~~~~~~~~flashback end~~~~~~~~~~~

For the rest of the day, I avoided Masky and Hoodie. Sure, that's a little harsh. Most couples talk things out and cry on each other shoulders and kiss, well that's not gonna cut it. What I almost did, was unspeakable, horrible, monstrous.
