The Prophet

I woke up to Fred and George jumping on my bed.
"Really you two again?" I groan. One of them jumps on my leg.
"BLOODY HELL GEORGE! BOTH OF YOU GET OUT!" I shout at the both of them. They both scurry out of my room. I roll out of bed and put on my house robe. I hear Ginny shouting at Fred and George in the next room. I run in there.
"Do you two really have nothing better to do than make our mornings miserable?" I ask them. They look at each other, shrug, then look back to Ginny and I and nod.
"I long for our first morning at Hogwarts when we wake up to Hermione shaking us awake rather than them jumping on our beds. Even she is better than them," says Ginny.
"Agreed," I say back.
"BREAKFAST!" I we hear mum yell from the kitchen. We all scramble downstairs to get our food before all the good stuff is gone. There's pushing and shoving, and Ron falls down the stairs. We all point and laugh at this and then hurry to the table. The food is sitting in the middle of the table and we all grab at it like animals. Ron is still laying at the bottom of the stairs, apparently too lazy to get up. For breakfast is Bacon, grits, hash browns, and fruit. Once Ginny and I have filled our plates, we eat like civilized people. As for the boys however, it is a much different case. They scarf their food down like wild animals and every forty seconds or so they reach to the middle for more. When Ron finally finds the strength to get up and make his way over to the table, he joins in on the boys' method of eating breakfast. When me and Ginny have had our share we simply sit there and stare at the boys in disgust. There are four boys in this house, minus dad, and Percy (the eldest child in the household as of now). And those two are the most civilized. Although Percy can be a snob at times...well, most of the time. Ginny and I finally decide to put ourselves out of misery and leave the table. We go to the living room where dad is sitting in his chair and reading the Prophet. When we enter the room he hastily closes it. Well that's suspicious. Oh well, when he leaves the room, I'll sneak a peek.
"Good morning girls, have a good breakfast?" He asks us.
"If by good you mean once again nearly vomiting at the sight of the boys eating while we are trying to eat ourselves, then yeah, we had loads of fun at breakfast," Ginny tells him. I laugh at this. For a twelve year old, Ginny can be quite humorous.
"Was there anything else in the post besides the Prophet this morning, dad?" I ask him.
"Just you children's materials lists for Hogwarts. Were you expecting anything?" He says to me.
"No just curious,"I reply.
"Well speaking of, I hear your mother is planning to take you all and myself to Diagon Alley today. And that we would be staying at the Leaky Cauldron until the term starts," he says to Ginny and I.
"Why would we stay at the Leaky Cauldron?" asks Ginny.
"Young daughter of mine I don't know why your mother does half of the things she does. I've learned just to go with it. Anyways you two had better get dressed I expect Hermione will be arriving soon," Dad says.
"Hermione's coming here?" I ask him.
"Oh yeah I guess I forgot to mention that. Hermione will be staying with us at the Leaky Cauldron as well," He tells us. Ginny and I hop in excitement. When Hermione isn't dealing with Harry Potter problems, she's our best friend as well. And the three of us shopping together will be the best thing in the wizarding world. I just hope Harry and Ron won't ruin it with their drama. Ginny and I got kidnapped by a weirdo younger version of Voldemort last year and call me crazy but I think that had something to do with Harry. He's a great guy and all, but sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if he wasn't in it. Dad leaves the room to get some coffee so I snatch up the prophet and drag Ginny hurriedly up to our room. I plop down on my bed and Ginny sits next to me.
"Why do you have dad's newspaper?" she asks me.
"Because he put it away all too quickly when we entered the room and it was suspicious," I tell her.
"That's strange," she says. I nod in agreement and start flipping through the paper. I see an article titled "CRIMINAL AT LARGE: BLACK IS BACK" seeing as Black is my last name I decided to check it out. I skim through the article.
"Ginny, apparently there's a murderer who has just escaped Azkaban," I tell her.
"What? How could someone do that it's like impossible dad says," she tells me.
"And that's not even the worst part. The guy who escaped, has the same last name as me," I tell her. She gives me an alarmed look.
"Let me see that," she says as she grabs the prophet out of my hand. "Sirius Black? I swear that name seems so familiar..." Ginny says thoughtfully.
"We can ask Hermione about it when she gets here. Right now our challenge is packing Just the right outfits for the next few days and picking out one for today," I tell her. She laughs.
"That is an extremely true statement my dear sister," says Ginny.
