My name is Michelle, and I am 15 years old I live in San Francisco with my two younger brothers and my aunt. My parents died 2 years ago in a car accident, leaving my brothers and I orphans. My mom's younger sister took us in and became our legal guardian, she doesn't have children of her own so she has no idea what she is doing most of the time. But we give her a break ..... sometimes. She really tries her hardest and we love her for that. Recently my aunt has been offered a new job in Los Angeles , so she took it and now we are moving. I've lived in San Francisco my whole life and I've never gone to Los Angeles at least once, I hate starting over but what choice do I have . As we were packing I came across some if my mother's old stuff in her room, and found old pictures of her when she was my age . She was so beautiful and the most amazing women I've ever met, I still cry myself to sleep most nights because I miss her so much. As we got the last of our things out of the house, I saw my little brothers wearing my dad's old hats that he would wear while they were fishing.
I quickly ran to them and gave them a bug hug . I wasn't the only one having a hard time leaving a home we spent our lives in, where we made our family memories. They were only seven and eight years old, a boy should never grow up with his dad . No one would ever have that bond they once had with my father. Just as we all were walking out the door with our last boxes our neighbors said their goodbyes and good luck. When we left our neighborhood I felt like I lost everything the only place I knew was gone, but" this is the start if a new beginning" my aunt said.
