I sighed as I walked into the studio, I really didn't want to be here on Christmas. I walked over to where my best friend Callie was sitting on the speaker. "Callie, let's get this over with we have to get back to the Academy." I sighed as I placed my Cello it the Cello stand.
"I know today Hasting Prep, is coming to stay for the two week of Christmas, and we can't be late. I just wanted to give you, your present by ourselves!" Callie handed me a big wrapped present. "Open it!" She urged. I couldn't wait and ripped open the box. I gasped as I opened the box to the brand new bow for my Cello.
"Oh my! I love it!" I squawked as I hugged her. I reached into my purse and pulled out my present for Callie, and handed it to her.
Callie didn't even wait for anything and she ripped it open and grabbed the sweater I had special made for her, it said "God made us best friends because he knew that our mothers couldn't handle us as sister."I heard a roar of an bus engine and realized that the Hasting Academy had just arrived. I said a quick good bye to Callie as I grabbed my things and rushed out of the door and down the hall towards my dorm. I gently laid my Cello case down on my bed and grabbed my hair brush, running it through my hair pulling it into a messy side braid.
I looked down at my outfit, a Christmas sweater that had. Rudolph on it and a pair of faded skinny jeans with my sliver flats.
I ran out of my room and into the hall heading for the gym. Once I arrived I heard the Headmaster welcome and greet the Hasting students.
"But in this month your staying," Headmaster mason continued. " You will have to choose Pop or Classical." Everyone stayed silent as he ranted on about the difference between the two.
" let's take a moment of silence for Kevin Smith, he is no longer with us. Cameron-Paige, would you please come up her with your brother and Callie, and play his song?"
I looked over into the crowd and saw my brother Camden and he gave me a nod as he walked towards the stage. I grabbed the Cello on the stage, cursing myself because I didn't bring my own. I began to play the intro to 'Fireflies' Kevin wrote this song the night before he died.
Everyone in the crowd started swaying to the song; as we ended the song everyone clapped and I walked off the stage.
I walked to my dorm and fell on my bed with a groan as I heard
my phone went off, it was a text from Callie telling me that I need to come to the gym we have an emergency practice. We're doing 'Frozen' songs in the talent show.I grabbed my Cello and slid it into it's case and slipped off my uniform, quickly changing into a pair of black leggings and a big Christmas sweater that hangs off my right shoulder.I jumped into my Sliver flats with bows on the top of each, and ran out of my dorm, closing and locking it.
"Cameron-Paige, you're twenty minutes late!" Mr.Carp yelled at me. I flinched and shrieked.
Mr.Crap dismissed me with a wave of the hand, I ran off toward Callie who was standing on the stage. I ran over to her and Camden.
"Hey, don't sweat him. Carp's, just on his period." Callie said
soothingly. I nodded and walked over to the piano, sitting down my Cello case and pulling out my Cello. To me, my Cello isn't just my instrument it's my best friend. The only reason I even still play Cello was because of my Ex-Boyfriend Kevin. Kevin died last year, got in to a terrible accident and was pronounced dead at the crash. I was in the car with him, he was bringing us back to the Academy after a fun Christmas dinner with our families. The reason why Mr.Crap hates me is because Kevin was his little brother.
