~Azrael's POV~
Torture, high school was and always will be torture, from the annoying children to the annoying adults. There was no way I would ever return to this place again, even if Laoel begged me I would not return. This place was a hell hole and don't get me started on the students, those nosy little creeps wouldn't stop staring at Laoel and me as we walked past them, and they smell.
It wasn't a nice smell it was more like that bad taste on the back of your throat, the woodsy smell had practically embedded itself into my pores and even now that woodsy smell could not erase the stench of Demon that invaded my body with each breath I took, the red headed demon and his slightly less attractive companion took the seats on our table and flopped down into them. I wanted nothing more than to pound that smug smirk off of his face.
But something stopped me, the red head, just like his friend, was something more than your average Demon, he was powerful, not as powerful as my sister and I but powerful enough to level this city if he wanted and by the look on his face he really wanted to.
"Get any chicks with that crappy pickup line?" I quip, I know it wasn't very Angel-like for me to swear but hey I'm no longer in Heaven so I can do whatever I want now.
"This one has fire, I like fire," the red head looked me up and down with a weird look in his eyes.
"Do you know how rare it is to find Female Angels in this realm?" his friend asked, more Laoel then me but I'd be damned if he thought he could get to her without going through me first, he was sorely, sorely wrong. "It's extremely rare," he said answering his own question.
"Apparently so are decent men but I'm not using creepy pickup lines on the ones I do find," I said in a very snarky manner. Laoel's hand found my leg under the table and she squeezed it tightly in warning, my anger was getting the better of me.
The redhead leaned forward and placed his tattooed elbows on the table, in a very businessman type way. "So why are you here?" he asked in a menacing way, making me bristle at how smooth his voice was.
"That's none of your goddamned business now is it?" Laoel said.
She was now getting irritated. It made me want to grin at her and give her a high five, but I stopped myself from doing it because of the guys across from us.
"You see I think it is-" before he could say any more the teacher barged into the room and began the lesson without so much as a 'How do you do'. Clearly she didn't want to be here either.
The class had finished and I dragged Laoel out of the classroom. "Okay so if I say we're never coming back here and that we should leave this town immediately, would you agree with me?" I asked her as we stopped in front of her locker so she could get her other books out.
"Of cause, but I like it here," she said, "I mean the house could use with a little love and this school is nice." She glanced at the demons who walked past us in a herd. "Well all except for the demons," she giggled.
"What's wrong with Demons?" a voice asked from behind Laoel, we both glanced at the red head and orange-haired boys who had followed us.
"Clearly they don't know what boundaries are," I mumbled to myself, staring at them as they got that one step closer to us. "Listen Orange Top, Creepy Red-Head we're not in the mood. You can either leave now or die." I stared at them like they were already dead to prove my point. "Your choice."
"First of all, my name is not Orange Top, its Barakiel and second, we're not Demons," the Orange one said.
My world came to a crashing halt as I stared at him with wide disbelieving eyes. If this guy was Barakiel then that meant the redhead next to him was Beelzebub. The devil literaly went to highschool.
"Shit"
