Guardian Angel: A Leo Valdez Fanfiction

Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus, was losing his fight against five teenagers that are possessed by eidolons. They are over powering Leo in an unfair fight while he was weak. He knew at the beginning of the fight he was to weak to win, but fought anyway. Snow cover the ground and melted when ever one of Leo's flaming balls landed. Nerissa watched from her stationed spot in the tree. She is not allowed to interfere unless Leo collapses or is about to die. That's what her father said anyway.

Her winter coat, over her blue long sleeved shirt, and her jeans, tucked into her black knee-high boots, were keeping her as warm as they could, but she was still freezing. She watched as Leo's movements slowed and he wasn't able to create anymore fire balls. One of the eidolon possessed teens kicked Leo's legs out from under him and Leo collapsed and wasn't able to stand up again. It was now time for Nerissa to interfere. Nerissa jumped down from the tree and landed putting something in between Leo and the five eidolon possessed teens.

"Back away or I'll kill you," Nerissa growled, her wings coming out and producing walls of water in her hands.

"Who are you? His guardian angel?" one of the guys asked.

"You could say that," Nerissa said before launching water ball after water ball at the teens.

Leo Valdez is a son of Hephaestus. He was trying to make his way back to Camp Half-Blood. He had just defeated Gaea by blowing them both up and landing himself Ogygia. He promised Calypso that he would find her again and he did. He got her off of her island and they both went to New York. Leo thought she loved him, but it ended up just being her curse that made her love him. They parted ways and Festus flew back to Camp Half-Blood ahead of Leo, because Leo told him too. Leo was attacked by five teenagers that were possessed by eidolon and knew that he was too weak to win, but decided if he was going to die, he was going to die fighting.

Nerissa is Leo's guardian angel. Well she was until she was banished from her home for disobeying her "father". So really she is a fallen angel. She as dedicated her whole life to protecting and watching over Leo that she was not going to stop now. She kept watching over the son of Hephaestus, and was glad she did. She watched as he was attacked after just getting his heartbroken by the titaness Calypso and defeating Gaea. She told herself that she wasn't allowed to interfere in the fight unless he was about to die or if he collapses.

When Nerissa saves Leo, she flies the both of them to Camp Half-Blood and brings Leo to the infirmary. Nerissa then disappears into the lake and goes to her new home a few miles away from Altantis but continues to watch over Leo. When Leo wakes up he spends time with his friends but can't get Nerissa out of his mind. One night, before going to dinner he goes to the lake because he knows that where she went. He calls on her and Nerissa debates whether or not to reveal herself. When Leo is about to leave, Nerissa makes up her mind and launches herself out of the water before landing softy on the ground behind him, only saying his name to tell him that she is there.
