Chapter Seven
Jason
I screamed out as Nico ran. I tried to run after him, but Frank had held me back. Hazel tried to calm me down. She tried to convince me that he would come back; that everything would be okay. Calysta cried and clung to Piper. Piper sadly shook her head and sighed.
"Why chase after him now that you have me?" She tilted her head and looked upset. "I just want us to be a family. I messed up. I want you back."
By now, I had collapsed and held my face in my hands. Hazel tried to soothingly rub my back. A young male walked up and tapped my should. He gave me a piece if paper stating that Reyna needed my at the Greek camp ASAP.
I slowly stood up and walked to my apartment. Piper followed me. As I turned to her and took Calysta out of Piper's grasp, I slammed the door in Piper's face. Calysta looked at me with confusion in her eyes but shrugged it off.
"Daddy, why are you so mad?" Calysta played with my hair and kissed my cheek.
"Because I did something I regret," I sighed and set her down before packing for the two of us.
Calysta softly smiled and sat on my bed. She hummed along to her favorite song and looked so carefree. Her eyes took in what I was packing and how much I shoved in our suitcases.
I walked away from them and tugged on my hair. Soon, tears were streaming down my face as I cried. Years of hurt and anger and sadness were released all at once as I sat in the corner. How could he leave me like that! After all the care and love I put into him, he upped and left me; it didn't happen once but twice. I looked up and glared at everything in sight. Calysta squirmed under my gaze and looked away. My hands balled into fists.
"Do I scare you?" I whimpered. My heart tore at the thought that I could have terrified my daughter.
She shook and her bottom lip trembled. "D-daddy... What's wrong?" Calysta tried to remain strong in my presence.
I sighed and softened my glare. My hands still shook, but I willed the bad thoughts to go away. I stood up grabbed our suitcases. My eyes lingered on our belongs. Memories came back at me and I softly smiled. I saw Nico cuddling with me in my bed. His presence was everywhere. I bit my lip before smiling at Calysta.
"Let's go, baby girl," I held out my hand and grasped her small one in my large one.
She softly smiled and I grinned. Her eyes sparkled with mischief and childlike innocence. My grinned widened. I walked her down to the Camp's selection of black vehicles. I chose one that was child appropriate. A car seat was already strapped in. Calysta crawled into the car before I strapped her in. I then tossed in our suitcases and got in. A soft hum left my lips and I drove out of camp.
Thoughts ran through my head about how I had scared my daughter. It hurt me even thinking about it. How could I hurt her like that? I sighed and looked in the mirror. She had already fallen asleep. Her thumb was already in her mouth. A soft chuckle left my lips before I started to pay attention to the road.
My phone started to buzz. I dug through my pocket but couldn't find it. Calysta giggled as I looked at her. She was holding the flip phone to her ear.
"Daddy isn't at the phone right now, but I can give him a message," she giggled while staring at me.
I grabbed my phone and practically growled when I saw who had called. It was Will, a boy Nico had a fling with before. Poor Will, Death Boy had crushed his heart.
"What do you want?" I snapped.
Will's voice trembled. "I... I need your help. Nico came up to me blubbering and I don't know what to do. He passed out a bit ago, yet fights me when I try to put him in a cot. He keeps repeating your name, and then he becomes angry and mopey and just... I need you to help."
While I kept my eyes on the road, I gave Will specific instructions on what to do as I drove there. Knowing that it would take a few days, I instructed the boy to keep Nico in his cabin at all costs possible. Nico needed his own space to be away from others, yet he shouldn't leave camp. Will suggested keeping Nico asleep, and I agreed. If that would keep my boy safe, then that's what we'll do.
I can't let anything happen to him.

Sorry for such a long update. TBH, I didn't even remember that it existed until I looked it up from my other account. In the meantime, this will have to suffice. I would like to thank everyone who has read this book and has urged me to update. I didn't realize that so many people would be into it. Yet again, thank you so much.
