Scars

I met a friend today. 

"It would be nice to go somewhere where no one knows me and my past." He said.

I frowned and asked him "Why so?" 

"Common, won't you like if you have a new start?"

And that got me thinking.

Would I like a new start? A new start away from my past deeds? Away from all the mistakes and failures? 

And I automatically said, "No. Why would I want that? Why would I want to go away from the place where I learned so much? Where I got to know my weakness and strength? Yes my past is horrible and I've done some bad things and hurt the people I love. But if I have a new start won't I make those same mistakes again? So why not stay where you are and make more mistakes and wear them like a scar you are proud of?"
