*Warning! Lots of swearing! This is also a very long chapter to make up for the two months of not posting lol.*

There he is.

Protegee program my ass.

I had been looking for Stark since the damn day I've been here and I still never talked to him. How the flippity fuck can I prove to Avengers that I'm a worthy member of their team when I don't even have a clue what I'm supposed to do?

I'm sorry. I swear when I'm pissed, as you can tell.

Steve and Natasha go on missions all the time but I'm apparently not allowed to go because I don't have any training. Why was it so important that I was hired if they don't even need me?

"Mr. Stark." I say to him. He was in the common room and wearing ( I kid you not) stripped satin pajama pants and an AC/DC shirt. He was drinking the biggest mug of coffee I've ever seen and wore a weary disposition.

"Stopstopstopstop-"He cut me off. He walked at a snails pace over the kitchen area a took out a RedBull from the fridge. I crossed my arms but observed in part admiration and disgust as he poured the entire can into the already full mug of coffee.

"How the fuck?" Is all I could say.

"Easy there sailor. I see you're getting a little tired of Steve's rated G personality." He mused

"All.I.Have.Done.For.Three.Weeks.Is.Follow. Steve.Around."

"Look sweet heart, I have the biggest hangover you can imagine-Do you know what that is yet?-Anyway, all I wanna do is eat some greasy food and regret my life decisions, but I can't exactly do that while you're still here. You feel me?" He grumbled.

"STARK." I said more forcefully.

"Alright, Alright! What do you want?"

"Put me in the field, let them see what I can do. Why else would you need me?"

"There's a reason I have you laying low kid, you gotta trust me on this."

"I don't have much time to trust you. Maria Hill told me not to tell them what I can do, that was supposed to be specific orders from you."

"And it is Ellie! Your time will come and we'll need you, but at this exact moment we don't. Natasha or I will tell you when you're needed."

I grumbled but it was clear this conversation wasn't going anywhere. "Just...please don't leave me hanging here? I don't want to be doing this alone."

"Annnd you won't! Just wait a little longer! Now if you'll excuse me I have some regret to catch up on." He said as he dragged away.

"Don't drink kid!" He added as he walked down the hall.

"Duly noted!" I called back. I turned back toward the kitchen to make some breakfast, when I found myself face to face with Clint.

"Shit! You scared me!" I said as I took a step back.

"Whoa, you talk to Steve with that mouth?" He winked.

I rolled my eyes but smiled. Although I didn't feel very connected with the team I enjoyed Clint's presence. He was funny and nice to talk to when I'm not with Steve or Nat.

He cleared his throat. "So...I couldn't help overhear you and Tony..."

I tensed up but played it off cooly, hoping he didn't hear too much. "We were just discussing how he's a living example of crippling alcoholism." I joked.

"At least he's self aware." He added. I calmed down a bit, it seemed like he didn't hear much.

"It seemed like you too were fighting."
