Chapter 1
I sat on the plane tears streaming out of my eyes wrapped up in my red snuggie. my family. My family was dead. I can hear the lady of fox 5 news; "on their way home from the hospital the jones's Lexus GX 460 was hit by an out of control 6-wheeler sending the suv flying. Inside the car was mother of 2 Carla jones, husband mike jones, oldest daughter 23 year old Ashley jones and her 3 day old baby girl Kyda Elaine. Sadly every one in the car died instantly leaving 16 year old Emma jones family-less"
It left me heart broken. I regret staying home to clean while my parents went to go pick up Ashley and Kyda. My niece. I knew my first and only niece for only 2 days. I missed her 3rd and last day of her life.
I am now on my way to California to live with my mothers best friend and old next door neighbor. I was born in California then moved to Pennsylvania when I was 10. Tara Johnson, my godmother and second mom sat next to me on the plane wiping away tears that fell from her face. She lost her best friend since 3rd grade, her neighbor of 26 years, her first goddaughter and the little angle she only met once.
It's been so long since I've seen anyone from the Johnson house hold except for Tara and Paul. They had 9 boys.
