The Future Heir Is Born

The morning was warm, golden and beautiful. The suns rays glowed through the trees and on to Molly's face but didn't wake her, the glow of the rays woke Arthur up.

As Arthur woke he felt warm, he looked at Molly who was sleeping on his chest, glowing in the sun light she couldn't look better, her golden locks and her softly sun kissed skin glowed.

"Such a beauty, I am such a lucky king." Arthur spoke to himself, Gwaine smile as he heard him.

"Yes you are sire, Molly is a very beautiful, young woman, or do I dare say she's gorgeous." Gwaine looked at Arthur who sat up carefully as not to wake Molly who was still asleep on him.

"Yes she certainly is, I am proud to share my name with her, she is worthy of the Pendragon name." Arthur smiled and stroked her golden hair as she was still asleep.

"Your father will be proud of you sire." Gwaine stood up and started to collect firewood as to make breakfast.

Arthur shivered as Gwaine mentioned his father, he looked around and he knew he father would of been around but it was the way he was going to use Molly, Arthur being a man of honour and loyalty he wasn't going to let anyone use his lady.

"Let me help." He looked at Gwaine as he took of his chainmail and made a pillow with it for Molly and snuggly wrapped her up in his cape, then left his sword with Molly.

"No, stay here and look after the queen she needs you. I will be okay." Gwaine looked at Arthur, who was picking some flowers for Molly.

"If you need anything just shout." Arthur patted his shoulder as Gwaine nodded and ran in to the woods.

"Arthur......My love." Molly whispered as she began to wake up, Arthur jumped and ran straight to her with the flowers that he had just picked.

"I'm here my love."  Arthur held her tightly, as she snuggled in to him.

"You are going to catch your death of cold, Arthur Pendragon!" Molly scolded him when she saw him in just his red tunic that showed a little bit of his chest.

"I thought you might like the view." Arthur winked as Molly held him and ran a finger down his chest.

"I love the view sweetheart but I don't want to you catch a cold, here at least put your cape on." Molly gave him his cape.

"Okay, my love but these are for you." Arthur gave her the flowers then wrapped himself in his cape.

"Shouldn't we head back to Camelot?" Molly asked as she walked to her horse.

"Yes, we should but you are not riding you are sharing my horse."  Arthur insisted as he helped Molly on to his horse.

"Gwaine!!!!" Arthur bellowed as he picked up his chainmail and packed it up, the Gwaine came running.

"We are going back to Camelot?" Gwaine asked as Arthur nodded and mounted his horse with Molly.

Gwaine took his and Molly's horse as he walked back to  Camelot, with Molly and Arthur riding in front.

As they got back to Camelot, Merlin saw them and ran straight over to them, even though him and Alice where collecting herbs for Gaius.

"Sire, My lady." Merlin smiled as he took Arthur's horse back to the stable.

"Merlin." Molly and Arthur spoke together as Arthur gave her his arm when they walked back into the castle.

"Arthur, I think my waters have just broke."Molly screamed making Arthur jump out of his skin.

Merlin heard the scream and ran straight to Molly as he saw the blood, Arthur picked her up and ran straight for Gaius's chamber with Merlin beside him.

"Arthur don't leave me, I am scared." Molly whined.

"I am never leaving you Molls we are in this together." Arthur crashed in to Gaius's chamber as Merlin pushed everything off the table for Arthur to lay Molly down.

"Sorry Gaius." Arthur spoke as Merlin pulled up her dress as Molly screamed.

"My lady, this might hurt I need to cut you open, the baby is feet down." Gaius informed Molly.

"I don't care what you do!" Molly screamed as Arthur held her tightly as Merlin put his fingers in his ears hoping not to deaf from Molly's screaming.

"Gaius, do what you have to,I want my heir safe and sound." Arthur darkly spoke.

"Sire, he or she will be born safely and soundly, Merlin!!! get me some numbing agent!!" Gaius yelled.

Merlin jumped to attention and pulled out a needle containing the pink liquid, he handed it to Gaius and Gaius injected Molly.

"Arthur, I am scared, what if I don't make a good mother." Molly cried as Gaius was preforming the operation.

"Don't be silly Molls, I am here, You know I will not desert you. I love you too much and he or she will have the perfect mother." Arthur comforted her as she rested her head on him.

Merlin smiled as he heard the baby cry, he held the baby while Gaius stitched Molly's wound.

"My lady, sire , meet your son. He is beautiful." Merlin handed the baby to Arthur as Alice came running.

"I heard a baby cry!" Alice gasped as she saw Arthur holding the baby.

Molly sat up as all the knights came in, Arthur smiled as all his men stood there and looked over at the Pendragon family.

"Right my lady I advise plenty of rest, no doing any of your duties and Arthur I advise you stay with her, Molly isnt going to be allowed to get up for a while." Gaius ordered.

"Of course. " Arthur nodded as he handed the baby to Molly and walked over to Gwaine.

Molly took her son and cuddled him tightly, then Merlin and Alice walked over to her.

"Gwaine, I am going to need you to take over the council for a while. Until the queen gets better." Arthur smiled and patted Gwaine's shoulder and walked back to his family.

"He is beautiful a spitting image of his father." Merlin looked at Arthur who smiled proudly then kissed Molly's forehead.

"Alice, could you take Arthur Junior." Molly smiled as Arthur picked her up.

"Of course!! I would love too, if you two ever need to do your duties or be left alone, me and Merlin will be more then happy to look after him." Alice smiled.

"Thank you Alice." Arthur looked at her and carried Molly all the way to their chambers.

As Arthur laid Molly down, he looked deep in to her eyes and saw the perfect mum.

"Where should I put Arthur?" Alice asked.

"Give him here." Arthur spoke.

Molly looked at them both, he husband and her baby.

"King Arthur and Arthur junior." Merlin spoke.

"The best family in Camelot." Alice spoke as Molly fell asleep with Arthur by her side.
