Chapter 4: New job, Fresh start

 When I finally got home I wasn't up to eating. I was really exhausted and all I wanted to do was sleep. Sleep for DAYS! When I went to the restroom I threw water on my face and stared at my reflection. At that moment I saw my necklace and remembered the titanium ring I found. I took off the necklace-

"HARU-AH!!!!!" that squeaky, excited voice scared the last life in me! Being clumsy I dropped the necklace, but it didn't fall into the sink! Worse, it took a dive into the toilet.

"Agh, Tara! Really?" I said and sighed as I looked at my necklace in the toilet bowl.

"I'm so sorry! Here let me get it!" and with that Tara began to stick her arm into the toilet and fish out my necklace.

"that is an expensive ring!  Where did you get it- haha it doesn't fit my fingers! IS IT A GUYS?" she leaned on me. I took it and rinsed it in the sink.

"I know its expensive! And I found it in the airport. " I said and walked out of the restroom after rinsing and drying my necklace.

"so haru..what do you want to do?" she said as she jumped on my bed. Sometimes I forget Tara's age, she never changed. She was just as excited and happy like she was when we where children. When she miscarried the baby she did plummet, but it wasn't for long.

"I really just want to sleep. I'm tired. "

"oh, ok. Maybe we can go out for breakfast or go shopping"

"yeah that sounds like fun!" at this point I agreed to anything just to get Tara out of my room. I love her and I might be a b***h right now, but it has been a long day! Literally.

"ARASO! be ready by 10am no later!"

and with that I laid on my bed and was out within seconds.

~~~~Next Morning~~~~

I felt sunshine on my face and winced. "Agh..the sunlight!" I turned over but a loud nose went off. "Wakey, wakey, get up, hurry!" It was the most annoy-ingest alarm ever! When I looked to see if my mom was asleep I sat up in shock to see her bed made and her not there. Back in NY she would sleep to almost noon. I got up from my bed and saw I had slept on my necklace. I put it on the bed side table and walked to the restroom to shower. When I got out into the hall I heard music coming from Tara's room but no sign of my Uncle and Mom.

"hey sleepy butt!"Tara came out with half her make-up on and then pulled something off my forehead.

"Wha-the..." I said as she took off a sticky not with the words 'out helping your uncle:)' written on it.

"Ok! haahha.. Go take a shower and hurry!" Tara said as she pushed me into the restroom and closed the door behind me.

"how did I not feel that all this time!?" I laughed as I began to shower.

~~~~~After shower~~~~~

Once I get done with my shower and I have some make-up(by some I mean mascara, and lip gloss.) I go back to my room and throw on a nice shirt with jeans and my vans. I check my purse and everything's there and I remember the passes. I'll tell Tara later.  I put on earrings, my necklace and my bracelet my mom bought me 2 years ago. I love that bracelet and the days I don't wear its not the best day, at least that's what I think, yesterday for example. When I step out of the room I see Tara and shes wearing a skirt with a t-shirt tucked in, ankle socks with pink vans, and just earrings with a cute little purse at her waist. Tara is 100x's prettier then me!

"Ready!" she said with a smile and then she said, "you look cute! I love your style its simple but chic."

"Thank you Tara!" I said with a smile as I looked down to my old vans and we began to exit the apartment.

~~~~Cafe~~~~~

After a long walk to the cafe we went to the sunbaes cafe that I told Tara about.

"Hello! Hey your back Haru! Who's that with you ?"

"Hi sunbae, and this is my cousin Tara."

"Hello sunbae, I am Park Tara." and with that Tara bowed. Which made me mentally slap myself I never bowed to Ji Ahn sunbae!

"Well at least one of you has respect!" and with that Ji Ahn looked at me and laughed. I stood looking at my feet.

"OK, so Haru have you thought of working here?" Ji Ahn asked

"Haru? you never mentioned this?" Tara said. All eyes where on me now!

"Ji Ahn sunbae...I have decided that I will work here but not for long. "

"That is ok! I will praise your company while you stay. Oh and Tara did you want to work here as well?"

"me?" Tara said as she pointed to herself and had a shocked face.

"No, the Tara behind you! Yes you! Like I told Haru she has a nice personality, you do as well."

Tara looked at me and I nodded, "Yes, I would like to!"

And with that me and Tara filled out applications. I told Ji Ahn I had just returned from the states and he said it would be ok.

~~~~1hour later~~~~~

"You start at 8am Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Sat-Sundays, and 9am on Wednesdays! Araso! Off Thursdays." Ji Ahn said.

"We got it!" Tara and I said in sync. 

I was excited to start a new job and a fresh part of my life. It may not be in the place I 'love' but I will have fun. Tara was talking about how excited she was too. When I got a text from V

(Sunday-12am)

"Hey, I got your # from your uncle. Don't forget to come on Thursday!-V"

I closed my phone and looked at Tara.

"Tara.." I said and she stopped mid way through a sentence about shoes.

"What?"

"Taehyung invited me to some Inkigayo place to watch him debut. I have the passes.." I took one out and Tara's eye grow WIDE!!!

"OMG!! ARE YOU GOING! IS THIS FOR ME TOO????" she was basically jumping and running circles around me. A ahjumma came out telling us to keep quiet and Tara grew quiet and was standing in front of me with a big smile.

"I don't know..." I said.

"Well..we are! It's on our day off!" Tara said

"Hmm, OK just so Tae doesn't throw a fit" and I kept walking!

"WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR!" Tara said chasing me

"clothes!" I said in return

She leaned on me, and decided we buy dresses when we get paid Wednesday. 

Me and Tara decided to go home and order pizza and relax before we go in tomorrow. It would be our first day of work and a Monday at that. I was still excited no matter what! I was anxious about Thursday however.
