Paper Airplanes
You're always moving twice as fast as I do
I can't keep up and i don't want to try
when i get close i start to hear you breathing
but it feels like you are shouting in my mind
I know I'm not the boy you always wanted
and how you wish I'd be a normal nine year old
but you can't look inside my head to see why
this world is only safe when I'm alone

So I'm folding paper airplanes until I'm satisfied
they get bigger and much stronger every day
and all these paper airplanes are leading up to one
that might be big enough and strong enough to take me away

It's not that I don't love you like my sister does
It's just that I can't ever seem to say
I know the words but every time I speak them
I mess it up and say them the wrong way
You're shouting I should get out of my own head
but I don't see how I could fit myself inside
and should I try when my mistakes are all you notice
and you never see the things i'm doing right
