"OMG Kate! Look what I got yesterday." I show her my phone and I watch as her mouth dropped open to my picture of the latest eye shadow palette we both wanted.

"No way!" she said.

"Clearly there is a way cause I have it and it's sitting on my dresser right now." I replied as I rolled my eyes.

She giggled at my reply, then went back to eating her lunch of McDonald's. I turned to my Subway lunch and dug in. I got the Chicken Teriyaki like always. I looked around and heard a few words of what some sixth grade girls were saying to each other at another table.

I didn't know much about them except that they both wore hijabs...which was obvious even if you just glanced at them.

"OMG Laila! Do you remember the part when Harry used Umbridge's own diss back at her?"

The girl called Laila exploded into fits of laughter.

"Too well Aniqa...that was the best part ever!"

I got up and walked over to them.

Their laughing immediately ceased when they saw me.

"Excuse me, but were you talking about Harry as in Harry Styles from One Direction a few moments ago...because I don't remember anything about an 'Umbridge' woman in any part of his life..." I said. "...and I know everything about him." I ended.

"Umm...umm..." stammered Laila.

Her friend Aniqa was more confident. "Umm no...about Harry Potter. You know, the boy who lives with his aunt and uncle and finds out he's a wiz-" she said until I cut her off.

"I'm not stupid-I know what Harry Potter is." I snapped. Because I did know. Twitter was always filled with things about this series and it was hard not to ignore the stuff. "Oh and isn't that stuff for nerds?" I ask.

This time Laila wasn't afraid to talk. "Umm no...anyone can enjoy Harry Potter if they've got the creativity," she said with a smile on her face.

I ignored her answer as I meant my question to be rhetorical.

"Thanks to you, my Subway lunch is now cold." I say to the pair of them.

"How did we...how did we..." started Laila.

"Don't push it," said Aniqa darkly. "I heard she can be really mean sometimes."

I turned on my heel and left their table.

"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" I asked when I came back to my table.

Kate was talking to Spencer and Ken about something.

"Oh, just how we're leaving this place next year." said Spencer.

"I'm really gonna miss this place." said Ken.

I snorted. "I'm not. I'm gonna be happy to be away from these grubby eleven, twelve and thirteen year olds who think they rule the school." I said.
