I shiver as i come out of the daydream. Oh crap im going to be late! I look at the time and run off to the party. As i get there Matt comes running out. "Alex, you came!" He shouts as i walk up the drive. "Of course i did" as we walk in the house is full of people. The music blasting into my face. "Drinks over there" he points to a table in the corner. "No one up stairs. Except u, me and Freya. Or any boys u want to take up there." He nudges me towards Jason, a boy from school that i have a crush on. "Matt! Im not going to talk to him, ok? Im just gonna go slow." I explain. "Yeah right. C'mon." He makes me walk with him to the drinks. I look down at my phone as i see Jason walk towards us. 'Please dont notice us, please please please.' I say in my mind. He gets his drink. "Oh hi Jason!" Matt greets. Great. "Have you met my friends Alex?" He asks. Ughhhh what the hell?! I shoot him a look that clearly says 'what the hell?!' "Actually we're in a few classes together." Jason says. So he has noticed me. Man i feel girly. "Well, i'll leave you two to talk." Matt says as he walks away. I stare at Matt. "You know, i always thought you looked pretty." Jason says. I turn around in a flash. "In class." He continues. "Oh really." I blush a little. Thankfully my hair covered my face just enough, he didnt see. "Yeah. Uh, do you want a drink?" He offers. "Oh yeah um. I'll get it." I go to grab the paper cup but as i touch the cup so does Jason. Well you can probably guess that we touched hands. We looked into each others eyes, just for a second. I swiftly look away. "Um. Its okay i'll do it." I say. But he insists.

We hang out together for the rest of the night. But, just my luck, towards the end of the night Emma (the coolest girl in the school) comes over. "Hey baby! I've been looking for you all night." She says to Jason. What? Baby? "Really? 'Cause i saw you laughing with your friends all night." He snaps back. "Dont be like that baby." She leans over. I look at my phone to avoid the awkwardness. And im glad i did. At that point she kissed him. Hard. I feel my heart snap. She pulls away. "And what are you doing with my boyfriend?" She asks me in a bitter voice. "We're just talking, Emma, dont be mean." Jason stands up for me, kinda. "Well, i better go. Nice talking to you, Jase." i say walking away. Jase? Why would i call him that. "Wait! Al!" I turn around. Jason? "Dont you need to go back to Emma?" I ask. "I never got your number." He explains sweetly. After exchanging numbers we go our separate ways.
~~~ the next day~~~
"Thanks for having me!" I thank Freya. I call Emily, my sister, to see how it went when i wasnt there. She says it was okay. But she stayed in her room most of the night.
~~time skip to the afternoon~~
Im sat in my room texting Jason. And that's when the second one happened.
