The other problem I had was that I was dying. I know it's terrible to have news like that brought upon you, but I decided to make the best of this news. I have decided to make a bucket list. This bucket list includes:
34. Climbing Mount Everest.
92. Standing up for someone because I'm a shy person and don’t speak out like I want to.
67. Jump into a pool filled with chocolate.
58. Meet someone new in a different country.
22. Run through my school in a banana suit carrying a boom box that is blasting Barbie Girl.
I plan to do this bucket list with success meaning without getting in trouble or arrested because I can't go to jail, I'm only a teenager. My best friend and I made the list. Here are some more from my bucket list:
1. Walk into class late. Yeah I'm one of those teens who gets to class super early.
5. Ask someone to go to Homecoming with me.
10. Walk hand in hand through a field of flowers, with my best friend.
88. Be on television with a famous actor/actress.
100. Kiss the boy of my dreams.
My best friend can't wait for all of this to happen. She is right now jumping from couch to couch like we did when we were kids. We laugh as time just floats by us.
"Come on we need a snack," she says as she plops down onto the couch then walks to the kitchen and opens the refrigerator door to see what we have.
She squeals like a pig, "Ewww what is this stuff?" as she holds up a container filled with something pink and gooey looking.
"Brains?" I say with a smile in my face.
"Brains really? I thought you were just sticking to raw meat or blood, but now you're going all zombie on me? Great," she says as she clutches her head with her hands.
"No I told you if I ever go werewolf or vampire on you I will tell you. Gosh and zombies are so last year," I say as I grab a bowl of cut up fruit from the fridge and set it down on the counter. I grab two forks from the dishwasher.
"Ready to do all this stuff on the list with me?" I say sticking my fork into a blackberry.
"Are you kidding? I was born ready," she says as she grabs the list off the counter and looks it over. The doorbell rings and we both look at each other. I walk quickly but quietly to the door. Standing on the porch is my neighbor Derek who happens to be my second best friend.
"Hey you got back early!" he says trying to say calm and coolly but it comes out squeaky like a mouse. He's nervous about something, I can tell.
"What's‒" I don't even have time to finish my question before he is holding me in a tight hug.
"Don't leave me," he whispers.
"Never," I say.
