Charlotte POV:
I kept my head down, forcing myself to lok at the ugly grey tiles of the floor. Dont look up. They wont notice you. Just keep walking...
"How's the wheather up there?"
I looked up and saw Chelsea and the rest of the cheerleaders. They were the most glamourous and fashionable girls in the school. Also the meanest.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" she said, her peircing blue eyes narrowing to slits and her mouth in a mean sneer.
I looked down and clenched my fists.
"Even the sickest cat in the world wouldnt touch her tongue" said Jessica, flipping her perfectly styled brown hair.
All of the cheerleaders laughed. I felt anger boiling inside of me. Nothing Chelsea or Jessica ever said was funny but everybody laughed anyway. One week here and I already wish I was back in middle school. At least then I didnt see Chelsea and her stupid friends everyday.
I looked up agian and the cheerleaders were gone. I relaxed a bit and ran the rest of the way to the aditourium. Nobody knew about how much the cheerleaders bullied me. Its not like my life would be better if I told anyone. My mom was always caring for Alexis, my baby sister. Not that I was jealous of her, in fact, I loved her more than anything. It was just that with mom caring for a six month old baby, she doesnt have much time for me. It would be even more useless telling my dad. He never had time for me, even when I was born he only called once a day to check on me. He has a low paying job which requires him to always be traveling. Our family is really poor because he never got a college degree so he can't get a good job. decided to stop thinking about him and start dancing.
I tied my pointe shoes as tight as I could and strecthed a little as a warm up. I put my ipod on shuffle. Dont Stop Believing by Journey came on. I smiled for the first time that day. Journey is my favorite band. I lost myself in the music and started freestyling. I twirled all over the room doing a few leaps and landing each one perfectly. This was what I was born to do. I have been doing ballet since I was six and I love it. Its the one thing where I can really shine. When Im dancing its like Im in another world. A beautiful world where there's no mean girls, nobody bullies me, and I can just be me. I did the highest leap of all when the song ended and I landed with my leg streched back, perfectly pointed. I turned around and gasped. There was someone watching me!
