SFX: Heart Monitor Beeping
Lights fade in. Karen is sitting beside a hospital bed, staring silently at the patient.
Karen - *wistfully stares* It's funny... you're in a coma, and you look asleep, but it feels like you can still hear me...
Silence. Heart Monitor continues beeping.
Karen - So, I guess, since you can hear me; I should tell you who I am... I'm Karen. Karen Rhames, from school. You wouldn't know me. After all, you're the Queen Bee. Why would you know me? I'm just average.*pauses* To be honest, though; I had no interest in knowing you. People said you were a bitch. I also heard that you were screwing both the quarterback and the wide receiver at the same time... yeah... I should really just shut up. *pause* God, I'm such an idiot. I should have done something - I could've! - but I didn't, and now, look at what happened. Pumped full of beer, just like that night you showed up at my door...
Lights and audio fade out.
