CHAPTER TWO
When I got home my mom was on the phone. I set down the groceries on the table and checked my phone. Three missed calls and two text messages. Wow. I looked at the messages.
One from Bridget, my best friend, reminding me about that party tonight. I had forgot about it.
Those parties are just the best. Katie the top dog throws the biggest most exciting parties ever. It would be even better if I was single. All the cute guys go there but instead I'm with Cameron. He's the star quarterback if the football team and everyone's in love with him. People say I am just so lucky but I junk quite the opposite.
Cameron and I grew up together. So we have always been really close until high school. We started dating eighth grade but I've never really felt it because he's changed and I don't think it's for the good.
Next, I looked at the second text message. It was from Cameron. He was telling me to be ready by nine. I closed my phone and looked at the time. Five thirty. I laid down on my bed and accidentally feel fast asleep.
