"Great. Just great," Nightmare huffed to herself, snapping her head to the boy walking behind her. "Stop your wandering, hurry up. The least you could do is walk at the same pace as me." Gaara looked at her for a few seconds, then slowed his pace down even further, to annoy her. It did. Screaming in outrage, Nightmare launched herself at the red-head, pulling her right hand back, to her ear. She brought it forward with all her strength, only for it to meet a sand wall that covered, and protected Gaara. A silver wire pocked out of the sand wall. Nightmare growled to herself. The sand wall collapsed and fed back on to the gourd on Gaara's back, once it was certain that Nightmare wasn't going to attack the boy. Gaara's left hand was outstretched, towards Nightmare, a silver metal band clasped over his left wrist. That band was attached to strong wire. On the other end of the wire, it was attached to another silver band, on a right wrist. Nightmare's wrist.
The pair had set off on an easy mission. Near to the end they had let their guard down. They had expected the man to attack them, but not to handcuff them to each other. He had then quickly disappeared, leaving the two teenagers to look down on the handcuffs, horrified. Nightmare had been furious, and had tried to jump on to the tree branches and follow the man, only to be pulled down by Gaara. After several tries, and failures, resulting in scratches, the two decided that it would be safer to walk after him, instead of jumping though the trees, as they couldn't time their jumps together.
It was after they had started walking that Nightmare realized, to her horror, that her right hand had been cuffed, which was her strongest hand. She had mentioned it to Gaara, who only looked at her. She then started shouting at him, complaining at how he just controlled the sand, and just needed a hand. Nightmare's caln were famous for their Hakudo. It was a lot like Taijustu, but it was split in to two categories, Light and Dark, each technique was then named with with a color. The colors went in order, from weakest to strongest. 'Light' meant defence, to protect and 'Dark' meant offense, to attack.
Each colour had a different starting stance. Hakudo masters were rare, as Taijustu had become more popular in the last few centuries. Hakudo was more about speed than strength, which was Taijustu was all about.Nightmare grumbled under her breath at how unfair it was, knowing she couldn't fight, at least not to her best ability, since Gaara would drag and slow her down. Gaara looked at her, raising a nonexistent eyebrow. She just glared back at him, huffing once more. Oh she was gonna kill the bastard who did this.
The handcuffed couple walked for another half hour, coming to a split in the road.
"This way," Nightmare declared pointing down the left road.
"He went this way," Gaara said, pointing down the right road. The two looked at each other, eyes widening friction. 'Damn it, we can only go one way!' Nightmare thought to herself. She sighed. "Okay, let's agree about this in a mature and sensible way-" Nightmare was cut off as Gaara began to drag her down the right road, not bothering to hear her out, or try to settle it like adults. "Gaara stop," Nightmare shrieked, digging her feet in to the mud path, and leaning backwards. "We're a team and need to make deconstruction together."
Gaara ignored her, continuing to drag her along, her feet making parallel trails. Even with all her weight thrown back, he was still able to pull her behind him. 'This is good, he's physically strong enough to drag me are the place, no matter how hard I throw my weight back!" Nightmare thought. She stopped dragging her heels, and walked side by side with Gaara, knowing that no matter what , he could take you anywhere, and she wouldn't be able to stop him.
"There's handcuffs was rubbing my wrist, and it hurt," Nightmare told him, seeing him raise an nonexistent eyebrow questioningly.
They had been traveling for several hours, and had decided to stop at a round clearing, with green trees around them. The journey had begun to tire her out , she stretched her left arm above her head, her right hand coming up to cover hefty mouth whilst she yawned, eyes closing. However she forgot that she was attached to Gaara. As her right hand came 9, so did his left hand. Nightmare's eyes suddenly snapped open when she felt slight pressure on her chest. She froze, forcing her head to look down. Sure enough Gaara's hand was resting on her black covered chest. Her head snapped glaring at him. He didn't even have the decency to be ashamed, he just looked at her blankly. That pushed Nightmare over the edge.
"That's it, I can't stand another second, being chained to you! I'm gonna break this damn thing!" she screa9, putting her right leg back, and jerking her right hand back, sending all her chakra to her raised left hand.
