.:Chapter One:.

“You’re going to what?!” Cameron exclaims, having issues comprehending what Tyler just told him.

“I’m going to get Ellie to kiss me, it was her bet but she doesn’t know who I picked and I bet you anything that she won’t figure out that it’s her,” Tyler says and smiles. “It’s a brilliant plan, and there are no loopholes or twists.”

“How about the fact that it might ruin your friendship?” Cameron asks.

Tyler remains silent and looks down at the ground. He and his two best friends are hanging out at his place on a Saturday evening. Usually they do something fun on their Saturday nights but Tyler wanted to tell his friends his genius plan. Or so he thought it was a genius plan, but Cameron pointed out something that could ruin everything.

“I hadn’t thought about that…,” Tyler sighs, a bit discouraged.

“It’s okay,” his other best friend, Dan says cheerily. “If she does end up kissing you, boom bam, you guys both fall in love and then you’ll be a couple.”

Or,” Cameron adds, “she might get mad that you chose her and then your friendship will be ruined forever.”

“Well aren’t you just a ray of sunshine this evening,” Tyler grunts, crossing his arms over his chest.

Cameron laughs and shakes his head. “I’m sorry Tyler; I don’t mean to bring you down. I just want you to think about all the options here before you go through with it. I just want you to come up with a great plan that won’t fail you, because I doubt you want to go to school dressed in nothing but a grass skirt and a flower crown.”

“I say you go through with this plan,” Dan perks up and grins. “If it fails, I wouldn’t mind seeing that.  It would be on YouTube first thing the next day.”

“Remind me that I need to get new friends,” Tyler groans and falls back on his bed, stretching out his arms.

“Aw come on Tyler,” Dan says and gets up, sitting down beside Tyler. “We’ll help you with your plan and we’ll make it so sneaky, that she won’t even know it’s her. She’ll probably think it’s someone completely unexpected like . . . her best friend or something.”

Cameron’s eyes immediately light up and both Tyler and Dan look up at him, confused. Cameron grins and looks down at them. “Boys, I have an idea…”

“So basically you just want to use me in your sick, twisted idea?” Ellie’s best friend, Jenn asks and raises her eyebrows. “Do you realize how bad that sounds? Or are you guys ignoring that part?”

“Come on,” Tyler begs, doing the puppy dog face.

Cameron somehow has Jenn’s number and he texted her to meet at Tyler’s house. Tyler and Dan were both wondering how or why he has her number but Cameron sent them a death glare, which meant ‘don’t you dare ask’.

Nonetheless, Jenn came in just a few minutes and Tyler brought her upstairs to his room. Now here they are, disagreeing on the idea.

“Come on Jenn,” Tyler pleads once more, “I need to throw her off the trail so that she doesn’t realize and so I can win.”

“And why would I want you to win instead of my best friend huh?” she asks, glaring at him.

“Because you’re just a nice person that way…?” Tyler asks hopefully, giving her his award-winning smile.
