You can always count on Trojan's

This is a one-shot thingy for my soulmate Rachel and yeah man it sucks but you know, I don't even care. <3

"Hello?" And just like that, with one simple word, I had frozen up. My breathing hitched, my eyes widened, and my heart stopped altogether. It wasn't the word that had stunned me, it was the voice.

Oh god, her voice was beautiful. It sent my brain into overdrive and fried my senses. I could listen to that voice all day, all night; I could listen to it for the rest of my life.

"Hello?" She asked again, an edge of irritation lining the melodious voice. But I couldn't choke out a word. With an agitated sigh, Rachel hung up. Again.

I groaned at my screw up and tossed the phone onto the couch.

"How many times have you done this, Jaime?" Vic asked, a sarcastic smirk on his face.

Sitting next to him, I buried my face in my large hands.

"Who is she, anyways?" Mike asked, changing the channel on the television. I took a deep breath.

"I don't know. I met her after Warped, she gave me her number, and now I can't talk to her. There's just something about her. Something different."

"Dude, just man up and ask her out or something." Vic laughed, nudging my shoulder. "We're only in Cali for a few more days."

"It's not that easy." I groaned.

"I told myself I'm tired of holding up your backup plans! Go down your list and be satisfied, it's all you have!" I yelled along to Besitos, dancing around the average-sized apartment. It was a jumpy and dramatic song, meaning I bounced on the couch cushions and knocked over the occasional lamp.

A sudden deep, buzzing sound overpowered the music, causing me to freeze. Realizing it was just my phone, I turned down the music and picked it up.

The same number.

I groaned, contemplating on whether to answer or not. I'd gotten tons of calls from this number, only to listen to someone heavily breathing on the other end. If they didn't answer this time, I'd look into getting my number changed.

"Hello?" I sighed, plopping down on the rumpled couch cushion.

"Are you listening to Pierce The Veil?" The person suddenly asked, shocking me. It was a guy. And I could've swore I'd heard that voice from somewhere.

"Um... Yes, why?" I turned the music down more.

"I, uh..." They trailed off, voice shaking.

"Just ask her already!" Someone yelled off in the distance. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

The man sighed. "Is this Rachel?"

"Who is this?" I asked, a little freaked out.

"Um, well, you gave me your number after Warped Tour about a week ago. It's... I'm Jaime."

I almost dropped my phone. I started trembling, but I had to be sure it was him. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah, I'm pretty serious." He chuckled, and I nearly melted.

"Why didn't you say anything before?" I asked, but then mentally smacked myself. I was on the phone with Jaime Preciado, and THAT is what I ask him?

"I was nervous, can you blame me?" My face instantly flushed.

When I'd met PTV after their performance, and added my number into Jaime's phone, I'd never expected him to remember me, let alone call me.
