I slightly opened up my eyes to see what the time is and nearly dropped my eyeballs to see it's almost 9! Shit. I almost forgot I have a kid with me. I quickly went out the room not minding what I looked right now and went directly to the guestroom and saw no one. I ran downstairs and almost slipped when I saw them together with Erika. I slowly walked towards them and listened what are they talking about.
"Gusto mo nito?" Mom asked and Erika nodded. "Clair! So nice to see you bro!" Luke hugged me and let me sit beside him. "I saw it." Luke looked away and drank his juice. Such a jerk. "So Clair you haven't informed us we'd be having a guest." I apologically smiled at Dad. "It was a rush, we just saw Erika on the road at two in the morning," I placed some pancakes on my plate and glanced at Luke who's now using his phone. "Oh god! Mabuti naman at nakita niyo siya. Poor girl." Mom hugged her and I saw how Mom flinched her nose. "Mukhang kailangan na ni Erika maligo, excuse us." she ordered the maid to lead Erika to bathroom while she prepare her clothes.
"She has found her new doll to play with," we both laughed at what Dad said. "Don't tell you're mother," Dad almost choke himself out when Mom came. "Sabihin na ano?" she went to Dad and caressed his back. "N-nothing," Luke and I were trying not to laugh but Dad looked like he was in the verge of dying. "Anyway, punta muna ako kay Erika." I guessed she must have came back for her phone. "You're scared of Mom." Dad glared to the both of us. "Say a thing and you're grounded, the two of you," he said before he finished his coffee and kissed us goodbye.
"I hate Scarlette," Luke sighed. "She's just a fling," I raised my eyebrow. "So? She's a bitch and you don't wanna know why." I seemed to have trigger his anger when he agressively put his utensils down. "You're judging her based on what people says about her!" This time it was my turn to put down my utensils down. "So you're defending her right now? Luke I love you and I don't like seeing you mess up." I saw how his face softens and a moment later he suddenly hugged me. "Sorry, and I love you too don't ever doubt that." he said in between our hugs. "You love me more than Scarlette?" I huffed. He hugged me tighter and said, "Of course, I only have one sister in this world and I won't mind choosing you everytime," I smiled as I caress his back. No matter how things change, Luke will always be my baby brother.
Never in my life I have experienced shopping with a kid. Not to mention a talkative one.
"Ate Cli, bakit po tayo pumunta dito?" I looked down at Erika. "Kasi bibili tayo ng bago mong d-d... clothes." Erika looked confused. "Ano po 'yung clothes?" she scratched her hair a little bit. I sighed heavily. Gosh, surely Luke was annoying but Erika? I shook the thought and smiled at her. I bend down and touched her dress. "Bibili tayo ng mga ganito." At first she didn't recognize what I was trying to say but then she smiled and hugged me. "Bibili po tayo ng bago na damit?!" I nodded and she started jumping. Whoo this is gonna be a long day.
"Good morning po Ma'am." I smiled at the saleslady. "Give me clothes that fits her." she nodded right away and left. I escorted myself and Erika to the couch and waited for her to come back. "Ma'am here are the available dresses for her." I glanced up and told Erika to wear those and let me see how it goes.
You might all be wondering why I was the one accompanying Erika when it could be Sophie or any of our other staffs. Well, right after breakfast Mom came to my room and asked if I could help Erika pick some clothes, because she can't afford not attending the meeting of some investor today. She said it would be better if I was the one with her less worries for her. As a good daughter I gladly obliged and asked if Luke could come too. Ha, I can't have the headache all for myself. But sadly Luke already left that time and cannot be contacted anymore. Tss, he knew this would happen.
