German's POV:

She has been upset all day.

Ahmed has been at Safiye's room for hours about some painting and Angie has been upset about that, thinking she wants to turn her son against her.

Why would she even think Safiye could turn him against her?

He's her son...

Oh, yeah... By the way my name's German, but people know me here as Dervis Pasha.

I've left my home to find a job to support my family as much as I can, but it turned out I couldn't just leave, if there was anything wrong at home.

Oh, no.

But honestly I don't mind.

I don't mind because I can be beside one of the most gorgeous sultana in the palace.

You can guess that's Angie... Or as everyone knows her Handan Sultan.

Her husband died years ago, whom was actually Sultan Ahmed's father.

And now this kid is the sultan and his mother asked me a very important favor the day when he became the ruler:

---------

- I want you to support him... To be beside him as much as you can and help him become stronger! - she told me - He has many people that don't want him to become powerful... One of them is Safiye and...

- I promise - I cut her off before she gets too upset - I'll be by your and by his side, support him and do whatever it takes to help him.

The joy and happiness I've seen on her face at that moment made my heart skip a beat.

----------

I fell in love with her.

Yes, I did, but I've never ever told her about it.

The rules stop me from doing that.

A pasha can't come in contact in any other way than serving... If it come to a Haseki... Or to any girl that belongs to the sultan's harem.

She got the Haseki name when she became the previous sultan's favorite and this position lead her to become the Valide sultan.

But then here's the other Haseki...

Haseki Safiye Valide Sultan.

The two has been fighing with each other every day, wanting to push the other off of the "throne"... Or push off Ahmed from the throne.

Many times I was the one staying on Angie's side, to make her feel better when she was upset which she always appreciated, but... She just can't know that I'm not going this because this is what I have to do.

Anyway...

Back to the present...

- What takes him so damn long to come back?! - Angie groaned.

- Calm down, Sultana...

- How should I calm down?! - she snapped at me then she seemed to immediately regretting it - I-I'm sorry...

- It's okay - I smiled a bit.

- What could be so special about that painting?!

- I don't know. I've never seen it myself.

- Me either.

But soon Ahmed arrived so Angie calmed down, but unfortunately I had to leave to take care of some businesses.
