Pinkie Pie watched as Twilight spun around and hit the star shaped piñata, candy exploding everywhere. Making sure she wouldn't miss out on any, she dived forward and gathered as much candy as she could. "This is great candy!" She whispered to Twilight with her mouth full, sitting back on her haunches to savor it. Twilight giggled, and shook her head. "Oh, Pinkie. I think this party is great! Seriously. Thanks for throwing it." Pinkie Pie looked at her funny. "What do you mean? I didn't throw the party." Twilight blinked. "Well, I just assumed so..and then I asked Applejack and Rarity who planned this, and they said you did. That you were up all night setting it up." Pinkie Pie thought back to last night. All she remembered was staying up late with the Cakes, making lemon surprise muffins(there was a certain grey Pegasus who seemed to favor those) and then hitting the hay as soon as possible. She shook her head at Twilight, and hummed. "Hmm, maybe it was some other pretty pink mare who likes her friend Twilight a lot? Sorry, I would have planned it, but I was really busy ."Twilight rolled her eyes, and booped Pinkie on the nose. "Yhea, well, whatever. All that matters is that you all showed up, and somepony had to plan this party. I guess it doesn't matter who." Twilight suddenly stood up, her eye on something in the distance. "Oh my gosh! You guys have red-velvet cake with cream cheese frosting? That's my favorite!" Pinkie Pie dragged her over to the desert table, and gestured to the table. "Don't need to tell me twice!" Cutting a thick slice into the treat, Twilight levitated over a spoon and plate. She literally threw it in her mouth. Cake was smeared all over her face, but the princess didn't care. This was heaven. "Do you like it, Twi?" A rainbow blur landed next to the two ponies, making Pinkie Pie tumble backwards. "Yes! It's so good! It's the best thing ever! I want to marry you!" Twilight said, talking to her cake. Rainbow Dash's mouth dropped open. "Whaaa?" Twilight turned around, piling more cake on her plate. "Yes it's amazing-woah. Why are you wearing dress?" The rainbow-maned pony blushed. She was decked out in a bright sliver ruffled dress with swirls of aqua blue mixed in. On her head was a light blue flower. "Well. Huh. Fine. Applejack said that in order for me to show how much we loved you as a friend, I had to do something I would never do. Wear a dress." Pinkie Pie snorted from where she was laying, visibly shaking with laughter. Twilight gently patted Rainbow's head in gratitude and sympathy. "Thanks Rainbow. But you didn't have to do that. I knew you guys appreciated me. And I love you guys as well." Rainbow swiveled around to a smirking Applejack, leaning casually against a tree, and Twilight figured that Applejack knew that's Rainbow's outfit was not necessary. Apparently Dash figured this out at the same time, and flew after a shrieking Applejack. Pinkie Pie leaped back on to her hooves. "So..? How does it feel to be 25?" She poked Twilight in the ribs, who winced. "Old. I feel really old." Pinkie Pie pointed at herself. "Yhea, well I'm still young and sprightly! Like a spring chicken! I'm only 23!" The two friends chatted brightly, soon joined by their other friends. A sullen Applejack joined them, missing her hat, it was currently on top of a victorious-looking Rainbow, and her coat was stained with pie. Rarity arrived with a styled-up Fluttershy, her pink hair tied up in a large bun on top of her head-both wishing her a happy birthday. Later, other guests left, and only the six ponies remained. They walked together into the dark house. "But I thought the party was over?" A confused Twilight asked, looking between everypony. "Nope!" Applejack exclaimed, pushing Twilight forward. "We still have'ta sing you a song, and give ya presents!" Twilight shrugged." Oh, thank you. But you don't need..." The lights flickered on, and a giant telescope was revealed. "Oh Celestia! You got me this?" Everyone giggled and *squeed as the princess flew up and around the present, muttering numbers and calculations under her breath about the size and structure. "Thank you soooo much! How'd you know I wanted this?" She pulled her friends up with her magic and tried hugging them all at once. "Well...you talk in your sleep, darling. And Spike couldn't help but overhear your wishlist." Rarity winked at Spike, who flushed pink. "Ohh, yeah, um..." He backed into another room, talking to himself. Rarity laughed. Twilight sighed, closing her eyes briefly. She wanted this moment to last forever....
