Nautius waited and pranced in the waves. I was busy channeling my focus and energy into his presence, for the more I did so I would grow in strength. I am a small female. I will need all of the strength I can get. My daskin. Well, I've nothing to offer. Nautius visits me every month and I grow stronger in my heart each day knowing he is out there watching me, in the waves. It's such a peaceful trait the ocean is. I've learned in the past years compassion, honesty, discipline, and the line goes on. But this year, I have yet to learn a lesson.

Nautius stood there in the shallows as if he had waited there for me give the most important answer to him all year. My soul found beginnings of the year made an stampede through my mind. I sat here half listening to the waves while Nautius grew impatient and trotted briskly to the shore line.

"Nautius, my decision has yet to come. I've failed to breach the walls of my ignorant mind. This isn't truly failure, Nautius, is it?"

" My dear Coverty, your answer is in the question my love, " Nautius explained with a sweet, charming voice. If thought about it, it was the Failure. Failure was the answer. My face must have gave in and twitched, hence Nautius bowed his head and he left for the horizon.

Galloping directly for the sun, Nautius shrank into the waves. I cannot bear that beauty, my eyes are amidst the sweet unbearing sun While I sat in the sand, staring, I realized that I was wondering for hours.

As began my trail home, my mind began to settle, and wander around more simple things such as the meal I would enjoy as I began a new year.

Otis, my Lion sat on my porch step awaiting his reward for the time being I was away, the plump berries I picked among the groves of the path. Otis is such a bright feline. He csn smell the sweet, juicy fruit inside the leather pouch tied around my mid-section.

As I began stewing vegetables and broth for my evening meal, and Otis ate his berries, The sun began to set. It was later that what I had expected. I must flee to slumber. After a quick supper, I brushed Otis's mane, my hair, prompted a steak for his meal and scurried off to my sleeping chamber. The world began to fade as I sank into pure bliss.
